I think I've got some CAT branded calipers on the front of my SEiGHT...  are they just a rebrand of one of the above?

As I say, I think these are a variation of the Outlaw M16's, but there are a number of calliper variations similar that are badged Outlaw M16, (Technically, Outlaw were the brand, M16 was the mounting lug fitment - Ford M16 replacement, for Cortina, Escort etc), Comp Brake is a good company still looking after spares for many of these callipers.

Are your pads this shape?, if so they are outlaw ones.

If they are the same I will add that to the Outlaw section.

or this shape / size

This is the 2000 range of the Outlaw Caliper, which is the same as the Wilwood Dynalite in its mounting lugs- other I posted is the 2800 range.

I can shed a little light on the Cat Motorsport calipers pictured above.  They were apparently based on an older version of the Willwood Dynalite that used a slightly larger locating pin than the recent versions.  A current Dynalite pad will work provided the locating pin holes in the backing plates are slightly enlarged.  Carbotech and Porterfield both refer to this as the 7112 shape.  I have run pads from both companies (XP8 and R4S) and confirm they fit with this simple modification.

And for those interested, I have old emails from Andy at Cat that have conflicting information about the origin of those calipers.  In one he states they are Dynalites, but in a later email he states they are Outlaw M16.  When I contacted Outlaw a few years ago to confirm the origin, they stated they never supplied Cat and after seeing photos of the calipers, replied "Wow! Those really look like a complete copy of our calipers but with the faces machines and the top of the caliper modified for a different pad. I designed the caliper that we supply but i think someone just copied ours to produce those."

Thanks John, since I embarked on this journey, it's getting more complicated the more I find out. I will try my best to add that, but now confused as to where these belong in the above list... I will wait for @Quinten Uijldert - Webmaster to reply and go from there.

Thanks all for the massive effort this has taken, will move it to the FAQ now, and tidy the thread, as all the information is now in the main post.

(Note, the contribution posts are simply hidden, we don't delete, but thanks for everyone that helped Richard on this project).

Sorry to bring this topic back again but looks like some good knowledge here and hope someone can help me…..

2.0L Zetec 2013 SEIW…..I want to get some Mintex 1144 or possibly similar Ferado pads such as DS2500 to replace my existing Westfield pads.

I have been struggling (after much searching) to find the right size/shape.

I have managed to find some a similar size but a few mm larger in height in terms of the overall size and some don’t the curved bottom which I think is essential.

I think these may be ok for the rear but showing as a few mm higher but maybe just more metal above the pins so not important? https://www.burtonpower.com/brake-pads-hi-spec-sva-ultralite-2-caliper-mgb535m1144-hi.html

And possibly these for the front but really not sure as the bottom isn’t Curved and again a few mm higher

Any help really appreciated.
