Well the car is in position on the ramp and as many bolts as possible have been given the PlusGas treatment.

A good six and a half hours spent today stripping down and the car is almost ready for a body lift.

There have been a few bolts that have sheared which is disappointing but at the same time no surprise, some of which were into bosses welded onto the chassis which has added to the work needed before putting it back together, but all part of the process I guess.

Hopefully the body will be off tomorrow!

Have you found hidden messages yet?

I can’t say I noticed any but then again I wasn’t really looking 😂

It’s worth noting that when the exhaust came off the central box has been welded all around the topside, meaning in the past it has been cut open and the perforated pipes have been replaced with solid ones, effectively making it a straight through system. I thought it sounded nice 😂😂

A further three hours today has got the body off.

On it’s way up

The chassis was the pushed put from under the body and onto the trailer

The body then got put on the ground where it will stay for a few months

And the chassis is back home in the garage, lots of work to do now!

The outriggers are shot, but I knew they needed doing

The main backbone of the chassis doesn’t seem too bad, plenty of surface rust to clean off though.

I assume you're aware of this company local to me? Sportmotive I've not used or visited, but they've been around a while etc.

Yes I am aware of them, I won’t be using them for anything though, far too expensive 😳

Yep. That’s the notoriously worst corner, behind the front wheel on the near side of the car. I could feel the holes in the topside of the tubes so knew the body had to come off.
