Track day insurance

Just wondering if any one can give me some guidance on Track day insurance.  I'm all new to westfield life and track days and am soon going to do my first track day.  What cover do you all have and what is the rough cost.  I didn't include it on my normal road insurance when I got it.  Any answers would be great.

Thanks in advance

I think most of us take the “hit” if the worst happens. Track day insurance comes with a very, very big excess (4 figures usually) so only worth it if you write your car off. But have a word with your insurer as most of them will offer it.

I pay an extra £200 on my insurance which covers 5 track days with A plan.

If you cover them separately it is a lot more expensive!

As Sycho says... with A plan insurance it works out about £50 extra per track day...

I never used to take it out but now it is a bit like changing your lottery numbers!!
