For Sale: Westfield SEiW Mazda SDV Turbo 1.6 - 253bhp

It's taken me a few weeks to come to a decision (and I'm still unsure as I type this) but I've decided to sell my Westfield. I'm just not using it enough so it's a head over heart decision.

I am the 2nd owner, I bought it off the original builder at Stoneleigh (BobMet) in May 2018.

It was built 2009-2010 passing its IVA at the first attempt in Cardiff.

The car is in very good condition throughout

Electric blue bodywork  /detachable rear arches / locking boot box / carbon effect stoneguards

Full windscreen and wipers

Full wet weather gear and sidescreens

Black powder coated chassis & suspension

Spare wheel and carrier but not fitted at present - comes with car

15" decent alloys with virtually new go-to tyres on rear - continentals on front

Protech adjustable alloy dampers all round.

Standard MX5 brakes built with new discs, pads and fully rebuilt calipers.

Heated windscreen

Luke 4-point harnesses with centre rotary buckles and “pull-up” adjusting straps.

Black vinyl sports seats on runners.

Fully carpeted.

 Black vinyl covered panels

CTEK socket on the dashboard for connecting a charger

Power socket in dashboard.

Rok strap anchors on rear bulkhead for easily and neatly strapping items on top of the boot (the straps themselves will be included).

Sparco steering wheel

Carbon effect rear light housings and handbrake/gear lever gaiter rings.

Recent new battery and Magnecor HT leads.

The engine has been turbocharged with all the right parts.

ME221 ecu - mapped by Chris at efi-parts - 253bhp @12psi (see graph below)

TD04 turbo (genuine) off WRX an 4k miles on a black cat log manifold

Braided oil lines

BMW vtps

3 port boost solenoid

Oil return tapped into sump

K&N filter

inlet Air temp sensor

Competition clutch stage 3 clutch with 1.8 flywheel

RX8 yellow injectors

Front mounted intercooler

Coolex alloy radiator

Correct NGK spark plugs - NGK BKR7E

AEM wideband with digital gauge

Custom stainless downpipe with new stainless silencer - 2.5" right through

The car is very quick and demands respect when driven.

MoT'd until November due to 6 month extension however can renew now if the buyer wishes

Complete history file and manuals.

I'm sure there is lots of information I have missed, so please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks.

That car should have had at least an extra £4k on the price! A lot of car for the money!!

Thanks for the kind comments Kevo.

I priced it at what I thought it was worth and wanted the car to go to someone in the club.

Cheers.

Pete.

Well what can I say.....the car is absolutely brilliant. A real credit to the work of the original builder and the brilliant work done by Peter on  the engine. Just done a nice 300 mile trip and loved every second of it.

A massive thanks. I am so thrilled to bits

Great to hear my old car is still in circulation...well done Pete and Chris (RS250).

This just goes to show what a flexible friend a Westfield can be, and what a great hobby and club this is. My wife and I built and used the car purely for touring with the standard 115 BHP engine (95 % on the continent, some wonderful trips over several years) and then Pete was able to change its character and turn it into something far more potent.

The collective will be pleased to hear that after a couple of Westie-less years I've placed a deposit on another kit - just need to move house (hopefully) before I specify the delivery time and location!

I'm chuffed to bits that you like it Chris and you had a good drive home.

Raining again here today so maybe you will get out more than I did....(600 miles in the last year).

I am staying in the club and will be lurking around, who knows Rob I may even buy your next build in 10 years time !.

omg. Haha

Well I got it to drive it and will be doing lots of miles. Probably 50 to 100 on an eve trip and hope to get out 3 or 4 times a week. My motorcycle is low mileage.
