Hello everyone!

I am looking for a westfield to be used as a road/track car, I have constantly been searching through the classifieds on pistonheads, autotrader etc and I realised this seciton on the owners club, I am after a car with the following spec as a must :

- must be road legal

- full cage

-4 pt harness

-s2k engine preferable  or open to other engines

-prefer digi-dash

Thank you for your help

Tom

:ww: @Temnich23 S2000's don't come up for sale so often. Have you looked at Toybox, he's usually got some in for sale. A friend's nice blue one went back there recently.

The cage and harnesses can be fitted if the car you find hasn't got them.

Whereabouts in the UK are you? I'd suggest you get out to a local meet once Covid-19 has finally gone and you'll be able to see some in the flesh and perhaps get a ride out in one.

The S2000 engine in a Westfield is a great 'Jackal and Hide' car. If you're tootling around in 30's in 6th gear it will still pull, but if you want to wring it's neck and go to the 9000rpm redline in each gear, it's addictive! Some may say for a track car, you'd be better with a lighter engined bike powered car, as the S2000 engine and box is a lump!

My S2000 is 647kg, without me. I've not got a full cage, just the MSA roll bar.

Good luck with your search.

Ian

@Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO thank you for you reply!

I am from Huddersfield and would be happy to go to a local meet. I have spoken to Andy there and hopefully will be going down to discuss what he might have in his stock.

I think the Jeckal and Hide theme is what I would love! I love the engine and the sound it produces! I have thought of bike engined cars however I have some hangups about hearing reliability is the best, that being said it will be a garage queen for most of the year so I would have plenty of time to fettle it right.

Thanks

Tom

I've got Sport Turbo seats which are circa 12Kg each and I've not fully got the CF addiction you have @Tom (T3OMF) - Cotswolds AO😉
