you do not need a fire extinguisher

you need approved gloves

Seat harnesses or belts do not need to be in date

Kill switch is required

Helmet might require HANS device if using slick tyres and type of roll bar or cage depends on tyres/class entered due to car spec

Am I right I’m saying that a basic ignition switch (with an “on - off” position marker label) is sufficient?

Depending on your location, a current competitor may be able to pop round and give you an easy list of thing to consider, If running in road going spect a westfield in its simplest form needs little changes to be able to compete.

The biggest outlay will be your own PPE and roll over protection dependant on what you have already.
