Update 11/08/2019 - The Car has been sold and is off to Spain - Although the private registration is still available

Hello,

I'd been an active member or the Westfield Community for 15 years but a couple of years ago I broke my back in several places during a trampolining accident.

Luckily none of the bone fragments did too much damage to the spinal cord and after the operation I've got nearly full movement back ( although left in constant pain ).

For the last 2 years I've been unbale to drive my beloved Westfield which had taken me 5 years to build and was first registered in 2009.

If I'd have just purchased a built car, I probably would have sold it a couple of years ago, but as it’s my baby I've been putting of this day.

Unfortunately, I think it’s time I sold her and let someone else have the enjoyment out of her.

She was built from all new parts with no expense spared during the build, the Specification is as follows:

  • Westfield SEIW With Detachable Rear Arches in Crimson
  • 2.0L Ford Duratec Engine with:
    • Jennvy Throttle Bodies
    • OMEX 600 ECU
    • Raceline Water Rail
    • Raceline Lowered Sump
    • Lightened Fly Wheel - Clutch
    • Custom Made Aluminium Hoses
  • BGH Type 9 (2.8 Sporting Close Ratios)
  • Freelander Diff with Quaife ATB Internals (Final Drive 4.1)
  • Ford Mexico Quick Rack (2.2 Turns Lock to Lock)
  • Cat Motorsport Front Callipers - Hi-Spec Rear Callipers
  • Alloy Hubs and chrome uprights
  • AVO Shock Front and Rear
  • Front and Rear Anti Roll Bars
  • Suspension professionally set up by Mansel Motorsport
  • 15" OZ Supperleggera Wheels (Lightest 15" Alloys without going down the special material / magnesium route) x 5 shed with 195x50x15 Toyo Proxes T1R
  • Solid State Fuel Pump which feeds a swirl pot and high-pressure system (Saves you fuel starvation when cornering fast).
  • Aluminium Catch Tank (Saves you dropping any oil in the track)
  • Contoured Dash -With Custom Made Smiths Dials
  • Westfield Seats with Starburst Design (I’d not seen that design before)
  • 4 Point Racing Harness for Driver & Passenger
  • 5 3/4 Chrome Front Lights
  • Rear LED lighting into the Carbon Effect Housing
  • Lightweight Odyssey PC680 Gel Battery
  • Removable Steering wheel & Boss
  • RAC Roll Bar
  • Soft Bits 4 Sevens Half Hood with both “Easy In” Modifications for both Driver and Passenger.
  • Walker St Clair Rain Cover
  • Full Tonneua Cover & 2 Doors (Never been fitted)

Yes, the car is quick as just under 200 BHP and weighs in at just over 500 KG.

It will manage over 60 MPH in 2nd gear, which means its even better off the lights.  With a theoretical top speed of 137 MPH.

The car has only done 6043 miles ( I will confirm the exact figures in the morning ).

I will put a new 12 months MOT on the car for the purchaser.

I'm looking for £13,750 OVNO for the car but that does not include the number plate.

This is my private registration ( WE51STE ) although that could be purchased separately if the price is right.

The car is in Tamworth, Staffordshire.

Please contact me ( Steve ) via the forum or on my mobile 0780 1055 717

Sorry to hear about your back injury, must be heart wrenching to have to sell your ‘baby’.

Just wanted to say how fabulous the interior of your Westie is! I would suggest a couple more photos, one of the ‘star burst’ seats, another of the engine bay, bonnet off.

With recent fabulous weather I’m sure this will sell quickly.

Good luck with the sale.

Andy

The car has been in for it's MOT today and passed so whoever buys this will have a full 12 months MOT as well as a very much loved Westfield.

Mileage confirmed 6043.

Yes that is Nigel Mansels signature on the steering wheel.

Back to the top last chance before it goes on Auto Trader.

Just an FYI - you might consider other options over Autotrader, I recently sold a very well priced private sale car with them and, having followed all of the advice re: photos ad details and content, and upgrading the ad, I was disappointed at the strictly limited number of views the car got.   Not sure if Autotrader has had it's day as the way to sell a car privately given ebay etc.

Pistonheads seems much more popular for this type of car,

I would also recommend Cars and Classics as an efficient way of selling an unusual/specialist type of car like a Westie. It was how I sold my XI recently.

Unfortunately swamped by dealer cars if you are a private seller

+ one for Cars and Classics was also free to list when I used it a few years ago now though

Hi I've updated the original post - Its with sadness in my heart ( not my head ) that I have to announce my car has now now been sold and will be shortly relocating to Spain.

As its going to live in Spain the Registration WE51STE was not included / needed in the sale so is still available if anyone is interested.
