BigSkyBrad
Mine's been a Magnusson 94-piece socket set I got nine years ago, and still available from Screwfix for £49.99. It's been through all sorts of projects and I haven't pampered it - there's not the replacement guarantee like more expensive brands, but i haven't broken anything yet either! BenD
mine is a 12inch 3/8 drive breaker bar. its just the right length to get inside most wheel arches for brakes and other stuff. it was about 15 quid from a local tool shop. i wouldnt leave home without it

tc3nitro
I have a pair of knipex side cutters that I bought many many years ago, these things have been through thick and thin. Abused and used to cut all manner of things and yet they still perform faultlessly.

Thrustyjust
Air compressor .......................... won on ebay for £40 ................. so in budget . Had it 15 years , was 10 years old when I got it. Change the oil twice a year, one start capacitor from work bin in that time and still sounds sweet . I was about to say exactly the same! Combine this with my 300mm shear press and a pile of scrap aluminium, I can fabricate almost everything I ever need for most projects.
