  • 1 year later...

COVID has clearly put most things on hold, but was just checking if you were still the AO for Devon and Somerset.  Finally got my Westy through IVA and on the road and was wondering if there may be a socially distanced meet at some point in 2021 once we are all let out again ?  I am down in Brixham, Devon.

We have a Cornwall AO, Martin Rice. We need a Devon AO, so if there’s members out in that area, feel free to step up. 😀

  • Ian Kinder (Bagpuss) - Joint Peak District AO changed the title to Devon and Somerset AO- WANTED !

As, @Ian Tolfree (tolf) - WSCC AO Repsays above, come and support the best car club in the World.

You'll find the role very rewarding, you'll have the flexibility to do it your way, yet equally have great support from @Ian Tolfree (tolf) - WSCC AO Rep , The WSCC Committee and the AO Team  (I've edited the post title to assist with recruitment!).

Hi,

This is really great news!

Really grateful that you have agreed to take on the role.

I'm not far from you in sunny Minehead and so it would be great to have some local meets, drives - and cake is pretty much always the answer!

Maybe some circular drives out Taunton, Minehead, Porlock, Lynton, Woolacombe, Okehampton - circle round to Exter area, East Devon? A good way to let people around about the area join for the whole or a section.

Maybe a Sunday trip out to one of the regular Re:Fuel events at Dunkeswell. They are usually well attended with lots of variety - and they have cake!

Look forward to meeting a few more people around these ere parts.

Sean

Hi Sean,

Sorry, but if you read above, Dave took on this post some time ago, however sadly is no longer a member.

As above, he's no longer a member.

However do you fancy being the AO for your area? Sound like you know your way around. Perhaps give @Ian Tolfree (tolf) - WSCC AO Rep a call and he'll talk you through what's involved etc.

Best regards,

Ian
