maurici
hi guys. To sort an arrangement of wheels with very low ET, and spacers... lets say that I could do with studs longer than the standart 63mm "extended ones" Given the amazingly wide cars I´ve seen, I´m sure someone has found this issue already... Where is the place to buy them? I can´t find anything over 63mm (ford escort/cortina) Thanks Maurici
Terry Everall
Wide wheeled cars often users with the correct wheel offset and backspace which means that long studs are not needed
maurici
Assuming that my intention then, is to try to recicle a set of road wheels with too little backspace and that have to clear the bloddy wilwood 4 pots with hanbrake (by far the worst arrangement ive seen in my life for a set of brakes)... Can we stick to the topic of finding longer studs? Ive see that the escort group 4 had 100mm studs, and a shop sells them for £14 each... witch is way too much... 8 of them would be as expensive as the set of wheels i want to recicle... Any "non group 4 supidly expensive" option?
corsechris
https://www.rallydesign.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=4357 About half the price, but very little information about sizes etc? or, https://www.rallydesign.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=4630 pair of 25mm pacers with studs for £17. Maybe too small for your needs though.
maurici
The group 4 ones for 7.45 could be an option. Will ca them tomorrow to see if they can tell me something else about the arrangement. Many thanks as i did miss this ones!!
Mark (smokey mow)
If this is for a sprint car then remember that the maximum thickness of wheel spacer permitted in the MSA regulations (J 5.8.2.) is 25mm.
maurici
Spacer is 19, and is for a road set... thanks!! (I wouldnt be happy of playing with sitcky tyres on this arrangement)
stephenh
Demon Tweeks list quite a few lengths, but I must admit that if you need longer than the normal long sizes, they do get quite pricey. They are made from high tensile steel with rolled threads, so the prices start at £6.48 plus vat each in the Ford sizes.

stephenh
Maurici, in m y 2018 Demon Tweeks catalogue, they are on page 518, at the bottom of the page, under the heading of competition wheel studs. It even says at the very bottom of the page, in that section, that it is just a small selection, and call with requirements. That said, I've just tried to find them using the on line catalogue, I couldn't find them there. Might be worth a 'phone call?
