S2T
I have noticed some guys compete with the boot lid off altogether whereas others use a plastic/carbon cover. Whilst a diffuser goes someway to preventing the 'parachute' effect with air coming from the underside by not having a top lid would this also create a parachute effect or conversely would it assist in getting more airflow out? Greg 1
My thoughts are that the more cavities that you can cover the smoother the air flow. If you see the computer modelling of air flow over our cars the air appears to hit a high pressure area in front of the rear guards and a lot of the flow then turns almost 90 deg into the cockpit before turning 90 again and exiting across the boot area. I would say a cover would clean that up quite a bit.
