WIRRAL &  NORTH WALES TRIP TO WALES (YDG) 2018
This year’s date for the diary is Friday 27th July - Sunday 29th July, with some of the best roads and fantastic scenery this one is not to be missed. The overnight stop is again at the Highland Moors, I have spoken to Sue and have confirmed there is availability for that weekend. You will need to book the hotel direct, this is because a different rate applies for a single/double/triple room, when booking please say you are from the WSCC,

Highland Moors,
Wellington Road,
Llandrindod Wells,
Powys,
LD1 5ND
Tel: +44 (0)1597 825151
Mob: +44 (0)7826 226857
Email: sue@highlandmoors.co.uk

The starting point for the friday is 8.30 am  at :

Tudor Rose

Parkgate Road
Ledsham
Ellesmere Port
CH66 9PD

The first stop will probably be at the Ponderosa cafe for breakfast an opportunity for others coming from other directions to meet up.

Cheers

Afternoon All,

If your seriously interested in joining us for the YDG weekend, I could do with knowing soon as need to let the hotel know rough idea of rooms that are required, remember you can keep these costs down a bit and share a room with a fellow Westi owner, that sounds sooooooo wrong but you know what I mean.....

I would require a partner in crime for B&B.

I'm 80% as I just have to clear out another potential commitment.

Hi Dave,

Happy to share a B&b room. Currently touring the outer Hebrides in the tin top so if you could book the room I will sort out my share of the cost with you on my return home in a weeks time.

cheers

  • 2 weeks later...

Just confirmed my Saturday night meal choice. This is my third change. Please watch this space as I might change again. Too much choice, and too good.

Breakfast is easier, full Welsh, no beans. Or maybe .......

Hi Mark, I might be able to come and play for the day Saturday. What time will you head out after breakfast on the Saturday morning?

Are you still breakfasting at Ponderosa, as looks like it may save Jim and me a little bit of time going straight there. We have to negotiate around Manchester commuter traffic :( so google estimates up to 2:40 hrs driving for us to start! :bangshead:
