Breakdown cover? AA alternatives?

Wobblyprop

Recommended Posts

The irony is, after (foolishly) renewing my AA subscription this year, having let it lapse previously and used A plan for the kit. The AA certainly had my pants down when I wanted European cover for a week.

Back to A plan next year. Cheaper for individual policies on both truck and Westfield, than one short period of European cover on the Westfield was this year. :bangshead:

I was a member of the RAC for a few years and found them to be great.

I have since joined Grinder on the internet and now whenever I break down in a lay-by there are a few helpful chaps turn up within 15 minutes.

Very efficient.

Ah yeah that's who @CraigHew recommends too

I'm also looking for new breakdown having used AA for many years but with increasing premium costs. I saw that GEM have come out top in AutoExpress reviews for several years running.

AA are squeezing me dry also.   And the few times I have used them it’s not even been an AA guy in a van who turns up.  To be honest in 15 years it’s been a flat battery and 2 water hoses.

I know I started with absolute minimum basic cover...then they gave me extra cover for free.   At the renewal the new cover and was a whole load more expensive as it included stuff I did not want.       Strip any cover back to what you need.
