Well after 8 months with no westy in the garage I'm now the proud (Well ish) owner of  a lot of parts that may well, one day, end up drivable  A cheeky eBay bid later (not expecting to win mind) a

Not sure it would make much difference. The pwm bosch valve has very small increments of movement. A 1 percentage point of movement is almost impossible to see by eye.   Got back on to inter

Is that the same as user 40inches put in his MK Indy on LCB? :)

Yes same engine and Dave (40inches) has given me loads of useful info. Although I'm not using the getrag box out of the jag as the ratios aren't great. I'm going for an adapter plate. Flywheel and sump and a few other bits and bobs from the guys at rocketeer (http://www.rocketeerltd.com). This allows the use of Mazda clutch and gearbox from the mk1/2 mx5. These guys have been superb in giving me a shed load of info despite their main focus being the v6 into mx5 conversions.

The only head ache I still have is induction. There's a jenvey kit but it's pricey and according to rocketeer they're actually down on power vs their own carbon plenums and twin throttle bodies. I need to get everything mocked up to see what clearances I have up top. If i can make their plenum fit I think ill probably go for that. They are currently developing a more compact version so will just have to see. They do look lovely too.

If not a custom airbox and single throttle body will have to suffice.

Oh that twin single TB set up is nice. Looks wide for a Westfield though.

Once you've finished your sunbathing and beer drinking this weekend (Not jealous) do you fancy shuffling this over to the build diaries forum save starting another thread?

Wow. I'll be watching with interest to see how you fit that in! The Ecoboost in the 250 is tight enough...
