I am devastated to be selling this car already!

After hunting for ages for the perfect track car I picked up this Westfield from Andrew @ Toybox specialist cars just over a month ago with the plan of doing some road use and track days. MOT was carried out prior to collection along with a few other jobs and a service.

I have driven this back from Toybox to my home in Bromsgrove where I started to do a couple of jobs, one of which was change the seats to some Tillett carbon ones as the existing ones are a little snug for me. Seats are available for the right offer but not included in the price below. The drives spot on and starts on the button even when warm.

While working on taking the seats out of the car I suffered a stroke, I’ve spent a week in hospital and although feeling good and back to my normal self I won’t be driving the car anytime soon.

The reason of my stroke is a small hole in my heart called an ASD, I’m only 33 so don’t fit the normal profile and will likely not be driving anything like this for a long time to come while I have my heart fixed.

I spent considerable time and money in refreshing and updating my Westfield last winter and spring. As can be seen from the specification, very little was left untouched.

I have a lever arch file containing all paperwork and original receipts from when the vehicle was first built by others, as well as all receipts for works conducted last winter and spring.

This Westfield is very well suited for road & track use and has been setup accordingly by the professionals, Richard & Fraser at Blink. I personally participated in a few rounds of last seasons Speed Series, where the cars performance and handling was faultless; just my ability was left to be desired.

When selling a vehicle, I strongly believe in honesty so not to waste anyone’s time. The GRP bodywork is starting to show some signs of wear, with some light hairline cracks and one, 2” scratch on O/S lower cill, as can be seen on pictures below. However, I’ve always machine polished and waxed the bodywork so in consideration of the age, still looks damn good; especially as it’s kept within an airchamber when not in use!

Oil & filter changed September 2013 – only covered 550 miles since.
Coolant flushed and changed March 2014
Brake fluid changed March 2014
MOT expires June 2015
Previous owners including me = 4.

Ford 2.0 Silver top, engine build date May 98 – mapped by Blink, 170bhp at the flywheel, reported to be a good strong unit with loads of tuning possibilities.
Jenvey throttle bodies – new 2014
Omex 600 ecu – new 2014
Blink tuning file backed up on usb memory key.
Panosonic 13" toughbook laptop with cables to connect to dash pro & Omex ecu.
Pipercross airfilter – new 2014
Repositioned Gel type PVR22 battery to front passenger footwell with FIA cut off switch – new 2014
Alloy Oil catch tank – new 2014

Ford type 9 with quick-shift gear stick for rifle slick changes. Gearbox has been mounted further back so to avoid the use of a extension plate for gear leaver.

So sorry to read this, good luck with the sale, the car looks superb. But most importantly, good luck and best wishes getting your health sorted out. That's way more important than plastic and metal.

And if you need a boost to your spirits whilst recuperating, once the car has gone, you're not to far from several meets; there will always be passenger seat rides out there. It's not the same, but sometimes, when you're at a low point, it's just what you need, too.

Thanks for the kind words so far, I am sure I will be back in something fun - it might just be next year once i'm all fixed up again.

 

I will take some better photos of the car once it isnt raining outside as it now sits on a brand new set of TSW black gloss alloys as well which were fitted by Toybox prior to collection.

Does that roll cage meet the news rules for hillclimb and sprints? would it be legal for the Speed Championship?

Hi Rich,

Honest answer is not sure, the cage is a caged model with MSA sticker and the car last compeated in 2014.

I could make a call to caged to find out if you require?

What has changed in the regs?

If the cage has the MSA sticker it will be fine for speed series.
