Have ordered 3mm 300mm x 200mm rubber which looks about same width as mudflap so will experiment shortly - starting with minimal ground clearance (they're cheap enough to be sacrificial) - hopefully this will reduce both the vortex in the wet and the gravel hitting me and rear arches.

All this talk of mudflaps and water ingress makes me feel very smug with my butterfly wings! Nothing gets past these.

Sounds like something for the incontinent motorist! A modified TENA for men product.
