What do you want to mount it to?

I use this official mount to attach to my roll bar.

There are stockists in the UK.

I also have one of these which I wear under a wooly hat.

Cool stuff, I'll further investigate. Oh and Geoffrey, you probably know Kevin was photo'd in my car last weekend  ;)

Ha. No way...Now I know who he was on about.

Please don't let any stories out on here. :t-up:

I've got a tip tie style mount from Amazon and it's been perfect. Easy to get on and off and holds in place really well.

I use mainly combination of

Manfroto Clamp and 492 Ball Socket with GpPro tripod adapter

Monfroto%201.jpg

which I find versatile and quick to mount or remove.

Can be mounted on Windscreen pillar...

In detail...

I do use the standard Roll Bar mount sometimes, but it's definitely not as secure/rigid.

And I find that the bolt head twist in the 'open' side of the mount.

I also use different 'bolts' than original, as can be seen (blue) in pictures, which are much easier to tighten.

Here's mine, a length of aluminium angle bolted to the screen pillar with bike mount that came with the camera fastened to it.

If you're looking for something you could stick to the bodywork, I was surfing a couple of weeks ago and was very impressed with the amount of abuse the sticky mounts designed for that could take. Hey come with an extra tether bit too for piece of mind. The brand I got was goliton or something similar. They're on Amazon pretty cheap.

Yep - the stick on mounts are very durable.

I had one on a ski for 3 weeks skiing without any signs of coming adrift, despite a few wipe outs!
