Pre Lit Ally bodied - Build Thread

I'm with Kevin on this one. The red seats do look really good with the Aluminium and green. It's a pretty car whatever though. I like it with the windscreen too. The lack of wipers keeps the look simple and clean.

Gary

personally I like the clean look of the black bench seats, so that’s my vote.

As far as pricing

I think your build should be priced by considering 11 values and guided with the current Ca***ham seven 160 thinking so I would say value to pitch at would be in range 15-20 I’m not sure which end though, look forward to seeing/hearing what others think as this is quite unique so very difficult to value

Hi,

A bit of 'tinkering' today. Fitted the side screens and mirrors. If the roads are dry tomorrow I'm going to try and get out for a bit!

@garytipping, may I ask the source of that simple nice brushed gear lever knob ?

Hi, Sorry for the slow reply. The gear knob was on the gear lever when I purchased the gearbox, so I don't know where it came from.

I've just checked and no makers name on it. Sorry I can't be much help.

Gary

Hi All,

Thanks for all the positive comments at Stoneleigh. It was my first proper run out and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The car went well and took the 90 miles or so in it's stride!

Complete Kit Car ran an article on the build this month, and are featuring the finished car next month, so well chuffed with that.

Hope the weather holds for the Silverstone Classic, should have it there all weekend.

Cheers

Gary.
