Here's details for the dyno morning this Saturday.

Location: Clarkson Autos, Westhoughton, BL5 3NA: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/John+Clarkson+Garage/@53.5689701,-2.5409504,15z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x487b08f23c0b5645:0xf236c4cb54e74405

Directions: come off the M61 at J6 and head West (away from the Middlebrook Stadium), then first exit / left at the first roundabout, straight on at a set of lights where SM Motorcycles is on your left, continue past a row of white houses on your left, then turn right opposite the India Gate restaurant - Dodd Lane. There are signs for 'Forrest', 'Southerns' and 'Geartorque'.

Follow the car park along until the tarmac runs out, but turn right just before it does. You'll then be running between some railings and the side of a warehouse / unit, Clarkson Autos is directly in front of you. NOTE: There are some pretty abrupt speed bumps along here and they are 90mm tall. If anyone thinks they will struggle with these let me know and I can bring some bits of wood!

Time: 9am start, we have 7 or 8 cars to get through so I reckon it'll run til about 12 or 1 ish. If you can't get down for 9 don't worry, there should be a few of us there early doors so we can get started.

Cost: £30, for 3 runs with printout. Their dyno is very 'accurate' so don't be disappointed if you don't get the figures you thought you might!

Participants:

Steve (L) - Westfield 2.0 Zetec

Adam - Not sure yet! Either Fisher Fury R1 or MX-5

Keith - Westfield 1.7 X-Flow

Chris H - Westfield 2.0 Zetec

Michael - Westfield 1.8 (Zetec?)

Garth - Westfield... 2.0 Zetec, I think?

Phil (Chris' mate in a Caterham - unsure of engine - possible)

Steve (DJ) - Westfield 1.6 4AGE

Anyone else is welcome to come along too - if we have time and people feel like it, could always pop out for some lunch or a blat afterwards?

I think that's all, but any questions shout up. See you Saturday!

Hi Adam,

Hoping to still attend tomorrow but weather looks iffy here first thing in

Leeds till nine or ten am. I have no roof and must be a bit of a Yorkshire softy compared to you Lancashire folk.

Might get there about 11am if that's okay but will try for earlier.

Can you let me know your mobile number In case of any problems or the weathers bad.

Regards

Michael.

Hi,

Finally got over to Clarkson Autos and had the car on the dyno.

174bhp from a Scholar 1800 zetec, so very pleased.

Thanks Adam and Steve for organising.

I would recommend the guys at Clarksons if anyone needs a rolling road session.

Regards,

Michael.
