Westfield Fw bonnet nose

Hi

I wonder if anybody knows if a FW Bonnet nose (where the bonnet and nose are one piece) would fit a 1998 SEiW, I don't mind a bit of tweaking but is it likely to fit in place of the original bonnet and nose.

Thanks in advance

Sean

If you have ZK bodywork at present then it should be a direct replacement for your current bonnet and nose but it's unlikely to fit the earlier "kit" bodywork.

Whole tub has to be amount half to a full inch forward of the position the manual dictates else the bonnet doesn't reach the scuttle. Well documented in Dommo's build thread

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I don't have ZK bodywork it will be the earlier kit so I guess not likely. I had the chap selling it take measurements and it seems to tie in but doesn't sound like it will fit. Do you know where they differ?

thanks

It's the shape of the scuttle that's different. They're the same width at the base but its the profile and radius that changes.

Yep, the old kit bodywork scuttle is around 19mm narrower by the time you get to the top, such is the difference in shape.

There are one or other small issues you might need to sort, but if you were really keen, you could probably do it; providing you got yourself a newer style ZK scuttle, again, you'd need a little fettling to get it to fit, and you might need to swap windscreen uprights!
