Captain Colonial Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Well, today is the first day that there's been a five-day weather forecast for Stoneleigh - not that I put huge amounts of faith in it, of course - but this forecast is the same across several weather services and IF it proves accurate, it's good news for all, but campers...bring some warm overnight clothing, especially for Saturday night. Click (This is only about three miles from Stoneleigh) I can definitely live with this. Quote
Paul Hurdsfield - Joint Manchester AO Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 I can definitely live with this. Me too.....in a tin tent Quote
Captain Colonial Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 Me too.....in a tin tent Poser. Of course, I'll be tucked up in my own snug bed, seeing as I live only ten minutes away from the showground. Nighty-night, cool campers! Quote
s2rrr Posted April 30, 2014 Posted April 30, 2014 You may be tucked up with Paul if you get "lucky" but his Mrs may object, nice van by the way. Weather so far looks reasonable to good. Bob Quote
Yanto Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 I cycled to and from south Germany a year ago now, I was camping; when it wasn't raining, it was sunny, but cold at night. The forecast had been for warm sunny weather so i just took a summer weight sleeping bag i.e. 15 - 25 deg C rated, bad move that, especially one night in Holland when it went down to -6C. Never been so blooming cold in all my life, hardly slept! I will be camping at the show, but i'm taking a winter weight bag and thick camping mat - luxury! Quote
Yanto Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 To the point of being warm in a mankini so I see, unfortunately ! Quote
Paul Hurdsfield - Joint Manchester AO Posted May 1, 2014 Posted May 1, 2014 I will be camping at the show, but i'm taking a winter weight bag and thick camping mat - luxury! As a hardened camper (in the past) It's the only way Quote
