That was more luck than anything!  Frankly, I wouldn't trust a long range forecast apart from sunrise and sunset times.  Wait until the Friday beforehand and you'll have a reasonable shot at accuracy.

Or how's this?

Forecast: Light.  Continuing light from early morning and throughout the day until early evening, when darkness spreads to all areas.

Repeat next day. :d

Did I miss it then, weathers going to be brilliant sunshine or maybe battering down with rain. I'll be in the parts department on Monday morning, please feel free to come in and ask for big discounts - NOT. Whatever the weather, it is what it is. The three times I have been its been very sunny, not as sunny and a little damp. Long range forecasts may go to 15 days worth a look I suppose. Couldn't find it and aren't that bothered but then I'm not taking the Westfield down.

As Scott says, nearer the day.

The weather forecasts for the last couple of days have changed overnight.  Must take the car out tomorrow as there's a threat of no rain

Last year it hammered down around lunchtime on the Saturday. I remember as I had no hood and my wipers packed in! Saturday afternoon was brilliant, as was Sunday,

I can predict that we will have some weather over the Stoneleigh weekend, unless of course the world ends before then ;)

I'm staying optimistic :) and hoping it will be sunny

But I did volunteer for a job that's going to be in the dry just incase it decides to rain

I'm sick of the weather forecasts.  Was supposed to be very wet today and just wet tomorrow so I postponed the Yorkshire 8.

It's dry today with the sun coming out every so often  :bangshead:  :bangshead:  :bangshead:

Guess how it is now

I don't believe weather forecasts

Martin, I thought the same thing, blue skies here if a bit breezy, so took the dog for a walk. 1/4 mile away and the heavens opened on my side of the street, while it stayed dry on the other side of the street and at home.  Now drying off on the outside, getting wet on the inside.

They do seem to err on the side of extreme pessimism. If you believed the forecast you'd never step out of your door. I don't even bother looking now. Just decide what I'm going to do and what wet weather clothes I'll take by what I see on the day and what the barometer is doing.
