Cheshire and North Staffs is pleased to announce the day we've arranged with Fras and Rich, to take place at BLiNK's workshop in Winsford:

BLiNK Open-day

A big must for your diaries, and hopefully the open day will be the launch of an annual event! Saturday the 8th March starting at 10 am is the key date…

For those of you unfamiliar with them, BLiNK are a member (trader) of the club – Fraser himself has been a Westfield owner and club member for years. BLiNK Motorsport offers a wide range of services for all Road, Track and Race enthusiasts. "BLiNK Motorsport's mission is to provide the very best services with very best equipment, based on over 15 years of experience in the Motorsport and Trackday arena.”

Blink will be demonstrating geo set up’s, Power Runs on the Dyno and some of the ever expanding range of other services they offer at their Winsford HQ. They will also be showing us their special Westfield pre-season checkover! (based on their “Track-day MOT service”, but tailored for Westfields, fresh from winter lay-ups and upgradeitus. The check ups are the perfect opportunity to have your car professionally given the once over, ready for a fresh sea on of events. Both to make sure it’s safe and to ensure you get the most out of it. It includes both an alignment check on the Hunter Hawkeye machine plus printout and a check over of more than 15 key areas of the car. Each test takes about an hour or so, and costs approx £60 plus vat, no actual checks will be done on the day, but BLiNK will be taking bookings and don’t worry if you’re still SORN’d, BLiNK can arrange for your regular MOT to be booked in next door!

We hope to repeat the pre-season check up event every year, so that members can start the new blatting season with confidence after winter lay ups and upgrades.

Please let me know if you'd like to attend.

Is it not too wet for the barbecue sausages. Will try and get down, I've been threatening a geo set up for a while now.

Bob. :d :d

Apologies Fraser and Richard can't make it now family commitments I'm afraid.

Sounds good: will try to drop down for a nosey, albeit probably in the tin top.  Assume no issue with bringing one of the lads along?

  • 2 weeks later...

Stop Press......

Just been on the 'phone with Fras at BLiNK, it seems like lots of naughty motor-sport types have managed to bend, brake and generally have chosen this fortnight to decide they need the help of the North West's best motor-sport specialists. (Either that or all the Mazda lads have just ordered upgrades ;) )

As a result the workshop is absolutely crammed (and Fras is so busy he didn't even have time for cheese and biscuits after his desert tonight :p:d )

So unfortunately, we'll need to delay the open day. I'll post the fresh date as soon as we've had a chance to sort it out.

Please watch this space....

Was looking forward to this and a drive around the countryside down there,  :(  :(  :(  :(  :(

Oh well, hopefully I'll be able to make the next date.

Personally that's good for me as I couldn't do this weekend! Good for Fraser as he will be earning more than anticipated too! Albeit too much work I guess.

Hope this happens later in year

It's a mark of how well respected and what great results BLiNK are achieving that even in this traditional off-season couple of weeks they're so busy. Joking aside, much respect is due to Fras and Richard for not just trying to squash us in and do a quck wham, bang, thank you mam blink (doh) and you'll miss it open morning.

They want to do a proper job for us too. I know they're upset to have to postpone, though obviously pleased at the reason!

As you say though Andy, the upside for us, is that gives the three or so regulars that were struggling with that date, another shot at coming...

Aha there is a god just cried off as well, hopefully to be re-scheduled to a more convenient time.
