Hi everyone

This year saw the end of my fifty three year motorcycling career both riding and racing, old injuries to my elbow and knee (one at the Island and one at my local and much loved track Oulton Park) moving my Harley Glide(321kg) around was proving more and more difficult not to mention painful.

And yes I now intend buying a Westfield, the garage is now going through the change from bike to car nursery bike lifts to be sold trolley jacks and axle stands to be purchased, I am a retired mechanical engineer and need to be intimate with performance machinery If you know what I mean? a friend of a friend has a westfield with the 2L Vaux red top kicking out 280 bhp now that's what I call a sweet PW ratio

I don't doubt I will be asking questions that you have heard a thousand times before so take is easy on me guys!

Best Regards

David

Welcome David, quite a few ex-bikers amongst the ranks! Feel free to ask away, you'll also find some good info on looking for Westfields in the FAQ section, but please, never be afraid to ask!

And yes, I know exactly what you mean about having the performance kit on hand!

Welcome David, you've found the right bunch to help you spend your money.

There was a nice VX powered car for sale on here recently, not sure if it's gone yet.

Hi David

Welcome to the Club. I have just bought a Westfield as a substitute for my Harley Ultra Classic. Sad to see the bike going but I'm sure we will have just as much fun in the Westie, and it will be a bit warmer too.

Keep us informed of your progress into Westfield ownership.

Hi Arthur

Last November we took the Super Glide out for a ride up to the Lakes frost heavy on the fields very picturesque, low temps and wind chill done for my knee  good style

the first thing I did on arrival in Windermere was obtain pain killers, thus allowing me to ride back home.

The writing was definitely "On The Wall" :(

Wotcha nismo, welcome to the madhouse. My mate used to race bikes - Dabbsy is his name. You may know of him.

Anyway, good luck in the search for your perfect 4 wheeled motor bike :-)
