  2. Anyone after a really cheap runabout? An elderly man I know has to give up driving because of ill health. He has an old Corsa 1.2, '04 reg'd., but only done about 60,000miles. Bodywork is scruffy, not rust but minor dents and scraps. The thing is he's willing to take a very low price for it to get it off his drive. His starting price would be £500, but I'm sure he'd accept much less than that. Presently on sorn, but MOT'd until June.
  3. Make an offer. Post and packing will be about £2.50 on top. From my 1999 SEiW

Less than 300 miles driven since the brake upgrade costing £1,500 The car has a lockable boot and bonnet and comes with roof and doors. 18,650 miles from New Never taken on a track, only driven in the dry and garaged throughout my ownership it’s a very clean and well looked after car and has been owned by me for over 20 years. 5. Ford Zetec 1800 engine with just 20,000 miles on it. Removed from my westy due to upgrade. What you see is what you get and was running just fine before removal. Collection Brighton or can deliver along M23 corridor upto Sutton for petrol money.
  6. 2003 Westfield SE kit registered 2005 very low mileage 3,741 and stored in garage and never tracked, 5 months MOT. 2.0l Pinto engine with twin 40’s Weber carbs, high torque cam, enlarged inlets and bronze guides (less than 2,000 miles) and oil catch tank fitted. It has lighter weight starter motor and lightweight upgraded alternator and fittings. No rolling road test but goes very well and sure could be improved with a bit of professional tuning. Noise is not for the faint hearted though (sounds great) but you could upgrade exhaust for a quieter one if you really wanted, but why? 5 speed type 9 gearbox. Rear shocks have been replaced (all adjustable) and it has vented discs and 4 pot brakes on the front and upgraded servo. RAC roll bar, half hood, side wind defectors and boot tonneau. Car comes with original roll bar and full wet hood and doors to match, doors can be used with half hood by removing wind deflectors. Doors are blue and half hood is black. Half hood retention system is secured on roll bar and is homemade bespoke but works well and is hidden until needed under the tonneau. The bonnet has a strengthening bespoke bracket underneath the front of it. It has been like this since I brought it back in 2011 and is sound. The bonnet a very small top surface hairline crack above this bracket which has been there again since I had it and hasn’t got any worse and looks fine. Supplied with some carb bits and bobs, build book, receipts, Sierra and Escort Haynes manuals. Great looking and fun car now or further development project.

    Narrow body bonnet.

Hi all. Due to my own stupidity and not asking enough questions, I have for sale a bonnet for a narrow Westfield. The colour is definitely not yellow. I believe the label inside partially states "burnt" but is mostly unreadable (see pic). It's more orange than yellow. It's also definitely not wide body, but may be lowline as it's considerably lower than my existing one, but please check your own chassis measurements to be sure. The measurements are as follows :- Height - front 185mm (centre of bonnet) - Rear 230mm (centre) Width - Front 700mm - Rear 910mm. All measurements are approximate. As can be seen from the pics below there are a few chips and lumps that will require repair to make the bonnet good. Considering it's never been used, it's had a hard life. It will also require a good polish. The Pic below shows the colour difference, proving it is not yellow... I paid £60 for the bonnet which is what I would like to get back for it to keep the financial controller happy. Hopefully she'll speak to me again once it's gone! I would prefer collection but I can wrap it up if you would like to arrange your own courier. Just let me know. Thanks for looking.

    Superb Westfield XI

Westfield XI for Sale It is with some reluctance and sadness that I have come to the conclusion that I need to offer this well known car for sale. The car has been on show at the last 2 Westfield speed weekends at Blyton Park, and was on display in the WSCC marque at the 2018 National Kitcar Show at Stoneleigh. This is probably just about the best spec.'d Westfield XI in the Country, and just about every part of the car was either new or professionally reconditioned at the time of its construction. It was first registered in July of 2017, and has covered just 1104 miles since being registered. This is a rare opportunity to purchase an XI which is built to a standard which should enable reliable fun motoring, and is fast enough and with road holding capable of performing well on trackdays. The body is the standard Westfield body kit, with Le Mans driver's head fairing, in Westfield racing green, with crimson carpets, dash, seats and driver's head rest. The bodywork has been professionally machine polished. The dashboard is populated by a matched set of MG Midget instruments, all professionally reconditioned, comprising fuel gauge, combined oil pressure/water temperature gauge, rev. counter, and speedometer fitted (and calibrated) with an MGB dial so that it reads to 120mph, rather than the 100mph of a standard Midget speedo. The car has a factory optional tonneau cover fitted. Suspension incorporates the optional factory anti-rollbar kit, along with softer springs and Protech alloy bodied dampers which have been extended by approx. 20mm. to give better suspension compliance compared to the standard factory setup. Braking is by discs all round, using the optional Hi-Spec brake upgrade, with 4-pot calipers at the front. The engine started life as a 1275cc. Midget A series engine, but was totally rebuilt and upgraded by Peter May of Peter May Engineering so that it has an estimated power output at the flywheel of 110 bhp. from 1330cc., and revs happily to 7,000rpm, although the engine internals are safe to at least 7,500rpm, however the camshaft spec. is such that there is no advantage in performance by exceeding 7.000. Full details of the engine build spec with supporting documentation will be supplied to any serious enquirers, suffice to say that with all ancillaries (new alternator, starter motor, Ford 7.5” rally clutch, Aldon electronic distributor mapped to match the camshaft fitted, new 45 DCOE Weber carburettor and manifold, special shallow sump) the engine build cost was £6,435. The exhaust manifold is the factory supplied fabricated 3 branch manifold, but ceramic coated inside and out. Stainless silencer is a one-off, supplied and fitted by Custom Chrome. The gearbox is a Ford type 9 'box, giving 5 forward gears, fully rebuilt by Steve Perks of SPC, with uprated bottom gear to make it more usable, So this is an SPC Tracsport 'box. The back axle is an Midget axle, fitted with Peter May competition half shafts. The differential was rebuilt by Peter May and the crown wheel and pinion is the higher of the available Midget ratios. These cars are notoriously difficult to value as there are so few changing hands at any one time, so I'm open to offers, but my starting point is £22,000 which represents only about 80% of the cost of building the car to this spec., and standard, and with no allowance for my labour. The purchaser will receive a complete file of invoices for components used in the build, the original factory build manual in clean condition supplemented by a printed and bound copy of my WSCC boardroom build thread, along with a Haynes Sprite/Midget workshop manual and a Moss Europe Sprite/Midget catalogue.

  16. They have just been taken off a 1999 SEiW and covered around 15000 miles. They are in very good condition as you can see from the pictures. There is some minor corrosion on the front springs. They were supplied from the Westfield factory originally. I have upgraded to newer Spax. They are very heavy and the post office will charge around £22/£23 a pair to post which I will do at cost. If you can arrange collection cheaper please do so. Im looking for £100.
  17. Westfield SEi all correctly registered on a 1972/L plate so tax exempt and has a years MOT. Ex-Paul Pocklington, Richard Abraham car. ST170 engine on Jenveys, VVT delete, Kent race cams, Pectel ECU, rebuilt with new shells and ARP rod bolts in 2017, Raceline sump, lightweight flywheel and paddle clutch, reputed 195 hp. Quaife 4 speed and 4.1 diff with LSD. Caged full cage with sticker. 7x13 Team Dynamics Pro Race with Avon Turbospeeds with lots of tread. Bodywork was all new in 2010 but has got a few marks, previous owner hit a cone at a sprint and the nosecone and one rear arch have been repaired to a reasonable standard but not perfect. Also got a cut out where a previous exhaust exited over the chassis rail through the side of the bonnet. Works fantastically as a fast road car, still has a hillclimb/sprint suspension set up so rides bumps well, is also quicker than almost anything at a trackday. Needs to be sold so £8000 for the car or can include a Brian James single axle trailer, straps, jerry cans, wheel clamp and any spares I can find for £9000. Call Derek on 07885 874031 or PM. More and better pics can be emailed. Located near Chelmsford, Essex

  21. I have recently removed the reverse box along with the two prop shafts etc. Having a bike powered kitcar before without reverse I have had no bother in the past and feel that this is only adding unwanted weight to the car. It works perfectly well and will certainly be useful for someone building a bike engined car. My car is a factory built megablade. The propshalts both have a slider at one end. Front prop is 400mm closed and 430mm open, Rear prop is 790mm closed and 830mm open. Reverse box is 205mm long. £430 Inc postage to the UK.
  22. 4 New/old rims with used 888's fitted., I bought them to swop from the set on car but never got round to using them, so thats why i say new/used. Gloss black, 7Jx15, e23 the toyos are 205 50 15, what Gavin at Westfield told me to have! There were to go on my wide bodied Westfield. All tyres have between 4-5mm tread left, one tyre was scuffed/worn on the wheel arch as per photo. Does £550 ono appeal? Any questions and I'll do my best to answer. Located in just sth of Redditch, not a million miles from M42/M5 Simon

Lockable spring-assisted aluminium/steel rear door/ramp. Lockable pedestrian access side door. Translucent top to allow in natural light.
