  4. Huge thanks to everyone who donned a blue tee and got on with the weekend. It was as slick as I've ever seen it and of course very impressive from all angles as ever. Special mention to this year's organising team @Trevturtle, @marcusb and @Stuart Faulkner - Shows & Events Coordinator for putting on a great show and organising all the show kit. You made it look easy, I know it isn't - thank you.

Easy way to sell your stuff

It's not too far away now so anything you want to get rid of and can easily transport can be put on the NKCS WSCC Stoneleigh AutoJumble. Have a look at this thread for more info.
  8. Here is the thread for anyone that missed it - we're doing OK towards preparing for Stoneleigh, but need help with some specific parts please that must be gathering dust somewhere: Duratec crank sensor and connector Duratec crank sensor plastic alignment tool ECU coolant temp sensor ECU air temp sensor @Nic (NICO) - Shropshire and Mid-Wales AO CVH crank pulley (for trigger wheel attachment) @syman84 Ford 4 tower ignition coil Gen2 @Chris King - Webmaster and Joint North East AO and bracket any trigger wheel brackets/ unused kit Spark plug leads suitable for 4 tower coil to CVH plugs (Ford Ka)
  9. As we do every year for the past few years, here is the feedback thread. I'd like to know all the good and all the bad, please feel free to comment. To get the ball rolling I've icked a few of my own and some that you told me about over the wekend... Good - Lamb Roast - Same again next year please Good - Beer - Same again next year, maybe just two barrels though. They come from Warwickshire Brewery just down the road if anyone wants to suggest a particular brew for 2017 Good - Numbers of helpers was spot on and everyone mucked in Good - Although it was an early finish, I personally think the take down went rely well this year Bad - Monday weather and attendance figures but we can't do anything about the weather Good - New Farmers Café and their willingness to shelter and entertain us and sell us beer late into the night. I'll do a specific note to them on this and their Lamb Roast Good - Camping area staked out, although not so busy, perhaps the weather drove into local B&Bs Good - Car parking across the way from camping rather on the camp-site and around the marque Idea - Big rubber mats, preferably branded for the entrances to the marquee Idea - Open another part of the marquee for set-up so we don't tread down the show day entrances Idea - Buy a couple of patio heaters Idea - Branded Walker St Claire cockpit covers for rent (monies to charity) Good - Huge numbers of cars on Monday around 160 I think (not official figures, count to be declared in official report) Good - Storage and location of show kit. We will also improve on this with shelving and plastic boxes properly labelled 'nuff from me.

  13. LAMB IN A BAP...! As it's a special year and it's appropriate to formally recognise the people who organise and run the show (give Tolf a break from the BBQ basically), our traditional post AGM meal will be a fully catered affair this year! Most will be familiar with the format and will probably have sampled some of the food in years past, as we are delighted to announce that the Farmers Fayre Hog Roast chaps from the show-ground are going to put on a whole Lamb for us This will be outside the Marquee directly after the AGM. Of course you are welcome to bring your own food if you'd prefer another option and we can fire up the WSCC BBQ as required for the vegetarian option. There will also be green and Greek salads, coleslaw and potato salad. You are also welcome to bring your own drinks but beer and soft drinks in limited quantities will be provided as usual. For clarity, this is open to invited guests, the organisers and the volunteers. It is not open to mates or non-club members unless by prior arrangement. In order to "qualify", you'll need to make yourselves known to the organising team and if poss, wear your volunteer TeeShirt/show your volunteer wrist band as this will help the caterers identify us and feed us So there you go, please make every effort to attend the AGM and come and join your fellow members for a Lamb bap after.

  15. Stoneleigh 2016 Camping Information Show Dates are: Sunday 1st & Monday 2nd May Set-Up Day is: Saturday 30th April This is an “INFORMATION ONLY” thread which will remain locked but we will be updating as necessary Important Information about Free WSCC Camping Our ability to offer free camping for volunteers has been impacted over the last couple of years by current, ex and non-Members using the area when they are specifically not providing the Club with their services. The arrangements we have are with Stoneleigh and Grosvenor Events and are on a first come first pitch basis and for WSCC Members and families who are supporting the Club by way of volunteering their time over the show weekend. This arrangement has been sanctioned by our hosts but it has come to their attention that not everyone on the WSCC pitch has a valid right to be there. In essence this erodes the cash takings for the show ground as it results in a drop in takings for chargeable camping and of course makes us look bad. Therefore, the Club needs to specifically remind you that: · Camping is available to show volunteers only · Being a Member does not automatically entitle you to camp for free on the WSCC campsite · You will only be able to camp if you have a wristband and these will be checked · Electricity hook-ups are available however, this costs money so please treat these with due respect for others usage and everyone’s safety · Noise MUST be kept to a minimum · There should be no noise on the Camp site after 11:00 PM · Sorry, no dogs · The Public Camping Area is to be used as overspill if needed (free of charge for volunteers) · Members who are NOT volunteering their time should use the Public Camping Area · The WSCC Camping Area will be signposted and roped off · The WSCC Camping Area will monitored by WSCC and Stoneleigh Security · Those who fail to produce a valid wristband or other authority to camp will be asked to relocate immediately, regardless of the time of day or weather conditions · Those who decide to not comply with any of the above will also be asked to relocate immediately As daft as it sounds, we will be policing this. We don’t really want to, it really does sound daft but, we do not want to bring the Club into disrepute or upset our hosts, our neighbours, or the Members and their families who provide the Club with their time. We hope you understand.
  16. Stoneleigh 2016 General Information Show Dates are: Sunday 1st & Monday 2nd May Set-Up Day is: Saturday 30th April This is an “INFORMATION ONLY” thread which will remain locked but will be updated as necessary May Day Bank Holiday heralds in the National Kit Car Show at Stoneleigh Park and the WSCC need YOUR help. Your show organisers this year are: · Andy Banks aka “Andacami” – General and escalation point · Ian Tolfree aka “Tolf” – Marquee · Marcus Saich aka “Midlife Crisis” – Hall 2 Below is a “what’s on” for the WSCC at Stoneleigh in 2016 as a bit of an appetite whetter. 1 Exterior Club Marquee The following activities will take place on the exterior club stand. · Westfield Avenue · Member Autojumble · Membership services · Our all new merchandise · Snack bar · AO display · Prize Draw · Members drop off area (helmets, coats and bags that you don’t want to carry around all day) · AGM Sunday 17:00 · Post AGM catered Lamb Roast / BBQ / Sounds (with some beer/food supplied by the WSCC for club members) · Cars for Sale · Display Cars Manning the exterior stand. Feedback from Members has pointed to the fact that people are unwilling to do more than two hours at a stretch on the club stands and this is fine as long as we have the numbers. The more volunteers the less we’ll all have to do. As in previous years we have a people requirement of about 20 per day to run all the various activities. This number allows us not to commit you to any more than a two hour stint. We are also looking to boost the number of meters and greeters. This is important this year as we have a new location in Hall 3 that Members and the public will need to be directed to. It’s also something the vast majority of you spoke out about and/or agreed we should do better in 2016 – so your opportunity to make good on this is now. For more information on signing up to help, see Here. Exterior Parking We’ll have parking marshals to help you create Westfield Avenue and direct you into the marquee or additional display areas. If you have a car for sale, please tell the marshals and they will direct you to the marquee where you will be able to park up and display your for sale sign. When you arrive to park up we ask that you follow the parking marshals directions as coordinating the placement of 150+ Westfields can be a little like herding cats. For TinTops, Vans and trailers, we have secured parking opposite the WSCC camp site. You will need to come and see the organisers to obtain a pas before parking. 2 Interior Club stand We will have a slightly reduced space in Hall 2 this year where NMS and PlaysKool will be exhibiting plus a couple of Speed Series cars. Sponsors and Competition Cars · Displays by the WSCC sponsors · PlaysKool · NMS · Display of competition cars from the Speed Series Manning the interior stands. Our competition cars owners, sponsors and traders will no doubt staff themselves over the Sunday and Monday as ever but we would like to compliment this by having a bigger presence of members, not only those who are looking after their own cars but we need people to chat generally about the club and support our traders and sponsors. For more information and to sign up to help, see Here. 3 Camping · Free camping on the WSCC plot is available to show volunteers only · Electricity hook-ups available · It can be a quite place post show, so if you are the party type, the public area has more of a party atmosphere · You will only be able to camp if you have a wristband · Members who are NOT helping are advised to use the Public camping area or make other arrangements Please note that the camping area is available for WSCC volunteer members only to use over the show weekend. Camping will be roped off and monitored by WSCC Members AND Stoneleigh security this year. After a few years of “issues”, this is to be strictly enforced as not managing this upsets those have the put in the effort to support the Club and it is noted and beginning to wear thin with our hosts! More specific information can be found here. 4 WSCC Annual General Meeting (AGM) The club’s AGM will be held on Sunday 1st May at 17:00. The venue for the AGM will be the WSCC marquee, please make ever effort to attend, it's your Club and the AGM is the opportunity for you to tell the Committee and your fellow Members what you think, what you want and what you don't like. We will be providing additional chairs for those members who wish to sit for the meeting and will be asking all non WSCC members to vacate the marquee prior to the AGM. Please also keep all exterior noise down whilst the AGM is underway. It would be great to have some “doormen” for this please. The first prize draw of the weekend will be at the AGM. 5 Sunday WSCC Members BBQ and Social. As per previous years we will be holding a Social for WSCC members and invited guests and will be providing food and beer. We have scheduled this in straight after the AGM in the hope that the attendees of the AGM will stay on for the if they are not camping over already. We will gladly BBQ food that members bring along in addition to the food we are supplying, which this year is a fully catered Lamb Roast. Please note that this is an inclusive social, but it is for Members, Sponsors, Traders and invited guests, please remember this and please note that we are required to keep noise to a reasonable level and not too late – after all, some of us need to get up early to get the show going again for you and the visiting public. 6 People – most important Bearing in mind the interior changes to Hall 2 and acting on your feedback, it’s vital this year that we have sufficient people to breathe life into the plans and make it all work. In order for us to run the above activities we have the following people requirements. We need at least 12 people to setup the interior and exterior stands; Saturday from 10:00 to about 17:00 and we will be firing up the BBQ at about 18:00 to feed the helpers. Monday afternoon to break it all down again from about 16:00 (we are normally away by 17:30). We will need a minimum of 20 Members for each of the show open days, Sunday and Monday. Activities range from manning specific stands, some handling cash for example the snack bar, manning the ever popular AutoJumble to meters and greeters to help Members and the public with any questions – we also need to publicise the Club from Hall 2 along side NMS and PlaysKool and to help interract with members of the public. What’s in it for ME…? All volunteers will get Water, Tea & Coffee throughout your stint, T-Shirt, name badge, evening BBQ, free camping, and the love and respect of your fellow Members. 7 Passes & Wristbands All volunteers will be issued with a wristband at the gate which will entitle you to come and go as you see fit and camp for free in the WSCC camping area. If you do not have a wristband, you will be subject to the normal terms and conditions of the show e.g. payment on entry, chargeable camping in the public camping area, etc. Therefore it is vitally important that you record and confirm all the volunteer information requested. 8 Car Data Sheets If you are bringing your Westfield to the show we will be providing a Car Data Sheet for you to download, fill in and attach to your car. This will allow members of the public that are interested in the marque to look over the cars and understand what they are seeing. 9 I Want To Help. What’s next…? Please have a good think about what you are committing to. There are two separate threads pinned in this section that pertain to volunteering for the interior and exterior stands. They are: · INTERIOR · EXTERIOR · CAMPING Please do read them thoroughly, sign yourselves up and let us have all your information. 10 Some Important Points Reminder · No freebies unless you have a wristband · Full details required when volunteering your car and/or your time (they will be confirmed with you) · Volunteers only for free camping · All display cars (Hall 2 and in the Marquee) should be free from overt advertising of non WSCC traders and Sponsors · If you have a T-Shirt from last year, please bring it back washed even if you are not intending to use it · If you have any banners or flags, please bring them back or arrange to have them sent · Further info: stoneleigh@wscc.co.uk Thanks for reading and we hope to hear from you soon…
  17. Stoneleigh 2016 Marquee Volunteering and Display Car Information Show Dates are: Sunday 1st & Monday 2nd May Set-Up Day is: Saturday 30th April This is an “INFORMATION ONLY” thread which will remain locked but will be updated as necessary May Day Bank Holiday heralds in the National Kit Car Show at Stoneleigh Park and the WSCC need YOUR help. Your show organiser for the exterior area this year is: · Ian Tolfree aka “Tolf” Cars Exterior We are looking for 6-8 Westfields to display in the WSCC marquee. Last year we had a good mixture of competition cars and road cars in the Marquee plus an Eleven briefly; and very good they looked too. If you fancy displaying your car in the marquee then please eMail: stoneleigh@wscc.co.uk with full details of your car and your availability. Please entitle your email “Stoneleigh Exterior Display Car” and state if you are willing to volunteer your time to stay with your car, on what days and times. Note: DO NOT park TinTops, Vans or trailers ect around the marquee, we have secured parking for you. Come and see us for a pass. Volunteers Traditionally we have needed over 40 volunteers to man the stands over the show weekend. In reality this means a minimum of 20 per day so that nobody has to do more than one 2 hour stint and we can cover off the demand for more meters and greeters as suggested by the Membership. If you are happy to volunteer your time to help out on the exterior stand over the weekend of the show please eMail: stoneleigh@wscc.co.uk with your full personal details including: · contact number · Westfield details including reg number · Tintop details including registration number, make and model · your availability for Saturday, Sunday and Monday · who else is coming with e.g. better half, father/son Please entitle your email “Stoneleigh Exterior Volunteer” and state what days / times you are willing to volunteer for and your availability times. Please also state if you are willing to be a part of the setup and breakdown team on Saturday and Monday. As always we cannot make Stoneleigh the success it is without the help of you, the members. For more general information please see the following General Information Thread. We look forward to hearing from you.
  18. Stoneleigh 2016 Interior Volunteering and Display Car Information Show Dates are: Sunday 1st & Monday 2nd May Set-Up Day is: Saturday 30th April This is an “INFORMATION ONLY” thread which will remain locked but will be updated as necessary May Day Bank Holiday heralds in the National Kit Car Show at Stoneleigh Park and the WSCC need YOUR help. Your show organiser for the interior this year is: · Marcus Saich aka Midlife Crisis Main Interior Club Stand in Hall 2 We will have a slightly reduced space in Hall 2 this year where NMS and PlaysKool will be exhibiting and we will need a couple of Speed Series cars please. If you competed in the WSCC Speed Series or another motorsport discipline (BARC Westfield championship for example) and would like to display your car at Stoneleigh over the Show weekend please eMail: stoneleigh@wscc.co.uk with full details of your car and your availability. Please entitle your email “Stoneleigh Interior Competition Display Car” and state if you are willing to volunteer your time to stay with your car, on what days and times. If you have a Speed Series car (or another “interesting” Westfield) and would like to display it at Stoneleigh please eMail: stoneleigh@wscc.co.uk with your full personal details including: · contact number · Westfield details including reg number · Tintop details including registration number, make and model · your availability for Saturday, Sunday and Monday · who else is coming with e.g. better half, father/son Please entitle your email “Stoneleigh Interior Display Car” and state if you are willing to volunteer your time to stay with your car, on what days and times. Don’t be put off if your car isn’t the best example of the marque, we are aiming to show the production history of Westfield through the cars on display and good “used” examples are as valid as the out and out show stoppers and racers. There will more space in the marquee if that suits, of so please see the exterior thread. Now, before you drop us an email volunteering your car for Hall 2 please read the next bit carefully… · Your car will need to be in position on the display by 5pm on Saturday and will normally not be able to be moved out of Hall 2 until (officially) 5pm on Monday. (We may have an opportunity to move cars about at close of show Sunday and before the show opens on Monday but the show organisers do not really like doing this – health and safety / security and all that) · Hall 2 is locked down by 6pm on the Saturday and Sunday and Stoneleigh have their own security who patrol the halls out of hours so your car will be safe and secure at all times · There is an expectation that you will provide lots of information about your car. The organising team would be happy to print and laminate this for you · We would also need you or someone who knows your car to be available at various times throughout the show to answer questions As always we cannot make Stoneleigh the success it is without the help of you, the members. For more general information please see the following General Information Thread. We look forward to hearing from you.

Please entitle your email “Stoneleigh Interior Display Car” and state if you are willing to volunteer your time to stay with your car, on what days and times. Don’t be put off if your car isn’t the best example of the marque, we are aiming to show the production history of Westfield through the cars on display and good “used” examples are as valid as the out and out show stoppers. Now, before you drop us an email volunteering your car please read the next bit carefully… Your car will need to be in position on the display by 5pm on Saturday 2nd May 2015 and will not be able to be moved out of Hall 2 until (officially) 5pm on Monday 6th May 2015. (We may have an opportunity move cars about at close of show Sunday and before the show opens on Monday but the show organisers do not really like doing this – health and safety / security and all that) Hall 2 is locked down by 6pm on the Saturday and Sunday and Stoneleigh have their own security who patrol the halls out of hours so your car will be safe and secure at all times As always we cannot make Stoneleigh the success it is without the help of you, the members. We look forward to hearing from you.
  23. Stoneleigh 2015 Exterior / Marquee Volunteering Information Show Dates: Sunday 3rd & 4th May 2015 Set-Up Day: Saturday 2nd May 2015 This is an “INFORMATION ONLY” thread which will remain locked but we will be updating as necessary May Day Bank Holiday heralds in the Stoneleigh show and the WSCC Stoneleigh show organisers need YOUR help. Your show organiser for the exterior area this year is: Ian Tolfree aka “Tolf” – Exterior Marquee & BBQ Cars Exterior We are looking for 6-8 Westfields to display in the WSCC marquee. Last year we had a mixture of competition cars and road cars in the Marquee and very good they looked too. If you fancy displaying your car in the marquee then please eMail: stoneleigh@wscc.co.uk with full details of your car and your availability. Please entitle your email “Stoneleigh Exterior Display Car” and state if you are willing to volunteer your time to stay with your car, on what days and times. Volunteers To Help Run The Exterior Club Stand Traditionally we have needed up to 40 volunteers to man the exterior stand over the show weekend. In reality this means a minimum of 20 per day so that nobody has to do more than one 2 hour stint All of the helpers over the weekend will have first priority to display their cars in the marquee enclosure, if we are short of cars we’ll pull in cars from the parking area as in previous years. If you are willing to volunteer your time to help out on the exterior stand over the weekend of the show please eMail: stoneleigh@wscc.co.uk with your full personal details including contact number and car details and your availability. Please entitle your email “Stoneleigh Exterior Stand Volunteer” and state what days / times you are willing to volunteer for and your availability times. Please also state if you are willing to be a part of the setup and breakdown team on Saturday and Monday. As always we cannot make Stoneleigh the success it is without the help of you, the members. We look forward to hearing from you.
  24. Stoneleigh 2015 General Information Show Dates: Sunday 3rd & 4th May 2015 Set-Up Day: Saturday 2nd May 2015 This is an “INFORMATION ONLY” thread which will remain locked but we will be updating as necessary May Day Bank Holiday heralds in the National Kit Car Show (http://www.nationalkitcarshow.co.uk/Stoneleigh_Show_2015.pdf) at Stoneleigh Showground and the Club needs YOUR help. Your show organisers this year are: Andy Banks aka “Andacami” – General and escalation point Ian Tolfree aka “Tolf” – Marquee & BBQ Marcus Saich aka “Midlife Crisis” – Hall2 Below is a “what’s on” for the WSCC at Stoneleigh in 2015 as a bit of an appetite whetter. 1 Exterior Club Stand The following activities will take place on the exterior club stand. Westfield Avenue Member Autojumble Membership services Our all new merchandise Snack bar AO display Members drop off area (helmets, coats and bags that you don’t want to carry around all day) Live boardroom linkup Evening Grill / BBQ / Sounds (with some beer/food supplied by the WSCC for club members) Cars for Sale paddock As in previous years we’ll have a marquee enclosure and the helpers have first dibbs as displaying their cars here. Manning the exterior stand. Feedback from Members has pointed to the fact that people are unwilling to do more than two hours at a stretch on the club stands and this is fine as long as we have the numbers. The more volunteers the less we’ll all have to do. As in previous years we have a people requirement of about 20 per day to run all the various activities. This number allows us not to commit the helpers to any more than two hour stints on the exterior club stand. Exterior Parking We’ll have parking marshals to help you create Westfield Avenue and direct you into the marquee or additional display area. If you have a car for sale, please tell the marshals and they will direct you to cars for sale area. When you arrive to park up we ask that you follow the parking marshals directions as co-ordinating the placement of 150+ Westfields on the stand can be a little like heading cats. 2 Interior Club stands This year we have an additional stand in hall 2 directly opposite the usual stand on the back wall. Interior Club Stand One, Sponsors and Competition Cars (back wall) Displays by the WSCC sponsors Plays Kool NMS Aerodynamix Display of competition cars Interior Club Stand Two Club Members Car Display (opposite stand one) On the additional stand we are planning to put on a display of interesting and clean Westfields. We’d like to have on display some of the defining models from the Factories production so far if possible. We intend to make this a walk around display so that the public can interact with the cars and their owners. To make this work we will need the owners of the cars as well as additional helpers to man the stand and chat to the general public about the WSCC and the Westfield Marque. This is a very new thing for us to do and somewhat risky as last year proved so if you can provide a suitable and your time let us know now please. Manning the interior stands. Our competition sponsors will no doubt staff themselves over the Sunday and Monday on interior Stand One as ever but we would like to compliment the Speed Series Sponsors with a couple of competition cars from across the various classes that these cars compete in. We would hope that the owners of these cars would be on hand whilst their cars are on display to chat to the public about the competition side of the WSCC. 3 Camping Camping is available to show volunteers only Electricity hook-ups available You will only be able to camp if you have a wristband Please note that the camping area is available for WSCC volunteer members only to use over the show weekend. Camping will be roped off and monitored by WSCC Members AND Stoneleigh security this year. 4 WSCC Annual General Meeting (AGM) The club’s AGM will be held on Sunday 2nd May at 17:30. The venue for the AGM will be the WSCC marquee. We will be providing additional chairs for those members who wish to sit for the meeting and will be asking all non WSCC members to vacate the marquee prior to the AGM. Please also keep all exterior noise down whilst the AGM is underway. 5 Sunday WSCC Members BBQ and Social. As per previous years we will be holding a BBQ for WSCC members and invited guests and will be providing food and beer. We have scheduled the BBQ in straight after the AGM in the hope that the attendees of the AGM will stay on the BBQ if they are not camping over already. We will gladly BBQ food that members bring along in addition to the food we are supplying. 6 People – most important In order for us to run the above activities we have the following people requirements. Bearing in mind that we have the additional interior stand it’s vital this year that we have sufficient people to breathe life into the plans and make it all work. What’s in it for ME…? All volunteers will get Tea & Coffee throughout your stint, T-Shirt, name badge, evening BBQ, camping, and the love and respect of your fellow Members. Setup & breakdown teams’ interior / exterior stands for Saturday & Monday We need at least 12 people to setup the interior and exterior stands; Saturday from 10:00 to about 17:00 and we will be firing up the BBQ at about 18:00 to feed the helpers. Monday afternoon to break it all down again from about 16:00 (we are normally away by 17:30). 7 Passes & Wristbands All volunteers will be issued with a wristband which will entitle you to come and go as you see fit and camp in the WSCC camping area. If you do not have a wristband, you will be subject to the normal terms and conditions of the show e.g. payment on entry, chargeable camping in the public camping area, etc. Therefore it is vitally important that you record and confirm all the volunteer information requested. 8 Car Data Sheets If you are bringing your Westfield to the show we will be providing a downloadable Car Data Sheet for you to download, fill in and attach to your car. This will allow members of the public that are interested in the marque to look over the cars and understand what they are seeing. 9 I Want To Help. What’s next…? Please have a good think about what you are committing to. There are two separate threads pinned in this section that pertain to volunteering for the interior and exterior stands. They are: INTERIOR EXTERIOR 10 Important Points Reminder No freebies unless you have a wristband Full details required (they will be confirmed with you) Volunteers only for free Club camping All display cars (Hall 2 and in the Marquee) should be free from overt advertising of non WSCC traders and Sponsors Show dates 3rd and 4th May 2015 Set-up Saturday 2nd May 2015 Further info: stoneleigh@wscc.co.uk Thanks for reading and we hope to hear from you soon…
