  1. So discovered that the freelander diff i have was wobbling around!. Turns out that one bot had sheared anf the other (passenger side) mount has broken the bolt casting off. So thought id swap to lsd to new free lander diff housing. Gearbox guy says bearing size are different!!! Now stuck on idea's.
  2. Hi if the dash is for still for sale ill take it at 115. Presumably thats posted? Thanks
  3. Yep its a megabusa...the diff came with car so is i guess a lsd in freelander housing as its only done 4k miles and was fine with me before it came free!!!. Thanks for the advice so far. BR
  4. Ok new diff brought but wait!!! Freelander diffs are not LSD ...so my thinking is current casting broken swap the internals? To new casting with new bearings etc. What do the crowd think....as a freelander lsd diff are very expensive. Ta
  5. Think there are spacers looking on Westfield site. The drivers side mount plate has buckled slightly need to get that straightened as Westfield no longer list it as a part! Thanks
  6. So discovered that the freelander diff i have was wobbling around!. Turns out that one bot had sheared anf the other (passenger side) mount has broken the bolt casting off. The diff was bolted directly on to the the chassis brackets so with the replacements should i look at polyurethane bush to add ? Also the is a gap of 10mm when in situ so if i was to tighten all this up seems very stressed. Thanks in advance
  7. Ok....so with time allowed i have disconnected the diff. Removed drive shafts and undone prop shaft bolts.... Its BIG will it drop down through the bottom? Tomorrow nights job but will it come through the bottom of the chassis? Freelander 1 diff btw.
  8. Not ford Sierra diff...looking at pictures its a freelander diff.
  9. Hi All, Back from first Sunday blat....and something not right at the back end. Jack her up and off side bolts missing form diff and mount bracket. Worse than that one bolt snapped in the hole the other were its been taken the strain taken all the thread out. 1. Re thread? 2. New diff? Issue I suppose diff has to come out and work on diff...would it be more cost effective to buy re con diff put straight back in? Ideas around cost. Megablade and think the diff is Ford Sierra. All suggestions welcome.
  10. Im confident they are looking at other pictures of m16 calipers.. Thanks
  11. Thanks all so ill stick to standard discs. So ok for mintex 1144 pads on the front. Standard oem pads on the rear.
