Thanks for the information. This driving abroad is all new to me so trying to be a good lad and not be caught out. Truthful answer is I doubt we will drive fast enough to break any laws.2 points

Regarding disabling speed cameras on satnav.... If your data plan can bear the load abroad, use waze on smartphone. "Speed cameras" are not pinpointed. It's either law enforcement presence or "danger zone" (the rough mile length of road where there is danger, hence the presence of a safety feature camera). It will give you the split second warning before the <insert suitable wording> in the german SUV you are following slams the brakes because his danger zone device beeped. Be also aware that some speed cameras are enhanced (multilane, two ways, traffic lights) and that if no speed is specified its 80kph default. On any road with a central separator it's 90kph unless specified.2 points

You might need IDP depending on whatyever f^&d up stage brexit is at when you travel.....https://www.gov.uk/guidance/international-driving-permits-for-uk-drivers-from-28-march-2019 Though given how cheap they are, might be worth getting anyway.2 points

Slightly off topic but a bit of fun, I tried the Aviva Drive app on track for a laugh. I was hoping to get a terrible score, much to my confusion I got many 'good driving' badges including the smooth driver badge. I was pulling over a 1G on corners and braking so no idea how it was judged as smooth!2 points

Sorry but an alfa romeo, needs to be a classic rwd alfa, or a modern (ish) v6 busso engine (the one with the chromed manifold). this one in the listing may have a quadrifoglio badge... but still... is only a 2 liter twin spark, with welding needed... C'mon Barny. You can do better!!1 point

Thanks for looking! Not desperate as it doesn't stop me doing anything, I just have an orange fillet on a yellow car. Let me know if it turns up and thanks for reporting back1 point

Tommo I've had a good look here at home and can't find it so it must be in my store. I have one somewhere as I bought a full second hand set of body work in yellow, and as I run an aero screen, never used the fillet. How desperate are you for it? Lee1 point

I think a big tractor ticks quite a few of those requirements. Go agricultural!1 point

Shame you don’t like BMWs...a manual e46 M3 should be on that list.1 point

Ok, I've given this a fair bit more thought, and rather than try to pinpoint a specific car or car list, I've decided to aim to "tick the boxes" of any petrolheads dream car requirements. So far I have owned the following: Classic car (1986 Mini) Kit car (GTM Coupe, Westfield) Twin Cam (mk1 MR2) Flat Six (Boxster) Hot hatch (Fiesta XR2) Track car (mx5) Rear wheel drive (most of the above!) I think what is left for me to tick in the "must have owned to be a proper petrolhead" boxes are: V8 Sequential gearbox BEC An Alfa Romeo Turbo Supercharged V6 4x4 Straight six Handy to try and find a car that ticks as many of these boxes as possible!! What else can you think of that is a must have for any true car aficionado?1 point

Gardner Douglas is next on my list. Not cheap but the lure of an LS engine is too much to resist.1 point
