  1. Ha ha! Well I did get to have a good look around Silverstone, saw the Porsche centre, and a good view of the wing while pedalling along the back straight It was an absolutely incredible day, stands out as one of my top track days ever. I'm 3 in for this year so far, and Silverstone GP is going to take some beating. The whole place is awesome, but that circuit is just another level. I felt like I did well for my first trip there, but it's proper hooked me in with some really technical corners I didn't quite perfect. Shame it's so expensive from here out, I'd love to go again. And oh, the weather! Stunning!

  2. Here’s the lowdown on non members requesting to contact members. We respect our members’ privacy and that is one reason trial members cannot send PMs. We also expect trial members to post appropriately - so, for example, asking for a member’s phone number or asking someone to pm them is not considered appropriate. Members often prefer to sell to other members and thus deliberately do not post their contact details in public. We are all aware that trial members could actually be spammers from Uzbekistan trying to fleece them and thus we put these restrictions in place to help alleviate this. Although we can’t guarantee that a paid member is squeaky clean and not from the criminal underworld, it probably does make it less likely! Equally we don’t wish to scare new members off by being too heavy handed, so if we see inappropriate posts, we hide them and let the poster know why. Blatant spammers do tend to get pounced on though. If you wish to join the club it is a small price to pay for the invaluable help and info we provide and as a bonus will allow you to contact the seller. I hope this helps.

  5. I have taken up , on behalf of the Thames Valley area group to run an orienteering event on Sunday 30th June . The idea is, you are given a map with markers on it and a question sheet. You have 3 hrs to gain as many points as you can. The event will be in West Berkshire, so it then leaves the door open for areas such as Oxfordshire, Hampshire and Wiltshire, or anyone to come and join in. So, the AO's for these areas, drum the members up please . This has the 'meet the neighbours' feel about it too . If anyone wishes to join in from these areas, then please let me know below. Everyone is welcome. Hoping for 30 ish cars to participate, although the more the merrier, the pub has a huge field and does car meets. Dont have to have a Westfield , which allows the Oxfordshire defection club to join us too Plan is , we start at a pub and we end at the same pub for lunch, drinks and banter. So, I need to chat to the landlord, but he is always up for car things , so should be good to go. If you have any questions, or thoughts on the event, then fire away. Its just another thing I thought I would try to be different with the club again

  6. Helloooooo, first call for the next meet for Bristol and Bath area. Thursday 7th March 7-9pm at The Riverside Inn, Saltford, BS31 3EZ The landlady is a very onside petrol head who used to modify and race Nissan GTRs! Thursdays are quiet so we can have the place to ourselves and talk all things petrol based! Post Easter, the Pizza oven will be running outside and Open for business. There is also possibility of camping in the field next to the pub/river for the summer months? Anyone else going to Castle Coombe on 23rd March to watch the Speed Series - or any local drivers for us to cheer on? CeeBee

  7. Not yet, I’m afraid. I haven’t even worked out how I’m going to post it, without it costing twice as much as I was after for the frame!

  8. How much of War & Peace did you get through? Weather must have been perfect for a February trackday. (Unless you're called Adam and like getting wet. ) I still haven't booked anything yet. Forecast for Cadwell on Sunday could be a foggy start.. I think I'll make a decision tomorrow. Its still showing an early bird price, so it mustn't be anywhere near full yet.

  10. So I went to see this car and I drive it too. It’s a great car The only reason I am not following it up is sudden, unforeseen family circumstances. In fact, i’m stopping my search for 6 months and i’ll re-assess later this year. It deserves sommeone who will use it and that’s unlikely to be me for a while. For me, it’s a case of right car, wrong timing I urge anyone who’s thinking of buying a Westfield or similar to look at this car. Valey80 is a properly nice guy too and a pleasure to deal with.
