  1. Dammit - this forum is a dangerous place to browse when you're a bit bored.... I now know that my "Gel battery" is actually a Varley Redtop AGM (Adsorbent Glass Mat) battery, which prefers to be kept at full charge when not being used. I'm not convinced that my £15 Halfords trickle charger or my ancient Gunsons bench charger is up to the job, so I started browsing I now have a Ctek MXS 5.0 on the way from Amazon - good excuse for a couple of hours in the garage tomorrow

  2. All home now, car away and warming up. 8 of us in 5 cars, sun shone and blue skies in Filey, and sun shone in our eyes on the way home. Fish and chips on the Coble landing and a milky coffee at Squires cafe. Where are we going next year?

  3. Thanks It seems to me like eBay are getting desperate, as these 10-15% offers are appearing more frequently. Perhaps they should have been less greedy with the selling and PayPal fees - I've had so many dodgy purchases from Chinese sellers pretending to be UK-based that I've started avoiding the site generally - I can't be alone...

  4. I asked the same question a couple of years back and got no where, didn’t even think it was something we should have data on. Without younger members both the industry and the club will die.

  8. You're right to charge it as an AGM. See top of page 15 http://www.odysseybattery.com/documents/US-ODY-TM-002_1214.pdf I have the same Odyssey battery.

  15. I had the obvious carbon wing mirror covers, the 'seven' T shirt , which should pass for Westie stuff, tyres and a gear knob. Amazing as it all is the right stuff, not sure how that happened ! ( may have just bought the bits myself and handed them over really )

  16. First 'proper' ride out (shakedowns and going for MOT don't count) since the winter upgrades. Glorious weather in the Peak District yesterday.
