  1. Make sure you put in an expenses claim for the hours spent. MP's and councilors are pretty good at that. No reason for anyone doing their work for them not to get their fair share...

  2. Collected the car from the factory last Wednesday afternoon - but forgot to take any pictures at the factory (too keen to get driving)!! Managed to take a few over the next couple of days in between the bouts of heavy rain. The rain certainly made for an "interesting" couple of hundred miles trip on Friday from Northants up to Lancaster ready for the ferry crossing on Saturday to IoM. In its new home Saturday night: Final photos from a quick run out to the Laxey wheel this evening.

  3. Just be careful Captain, there will be a council jobsworth just waiting for a bit of the plastic tie wrap to fall on the floor as you cut it. Never there when they are putting the things up ( I share you annoyance) but always about to pouch on someone who looks like they can pay a fine and won't chin them

  5. There's also a card only fuel station in the paddock. Last time I was there I drove straight off the track onto the forecourt.. it felt odd.

  7. Here's something to aim for. Hillclimb car, XE, 4 speed sequential, full cage, on crossply slicks, not road legal. (so no lights etc). All fluids, ready to go.

  8. Westfield do a 6" carbon can - I fitted mine a few weeks ago. It hasn't made my car any quieter than the 6" Wunoff that was previously fitted, but on my car, most of the noise is induction I still have the Wunoff can if you want to borrow it for playing around - its a bit shabby though

  9. https://www.mylawyer.co.uk/graffiti-and-fly-posting-a-A76076D35092/ You should be able to report to your Council, although if they're not for legitimate business then there's nobody to prosecute. Personally, I'd remove any dodgy ones that aren't on private property...

  17. I went to Interpro today for a geo set up and ECU remap from IVA friendly to road/track friendly. Took 7h and a good chunk of cash, but well worth it, the car is transformed. 2l blacktop zetec with Jenvey TB & AP con rods - 185 bhp and 200nm, I`m pretty pleased with that. Very responsive and so much more stable/controllable. Before was a bit scary on the motorway, on the way back briefly nearing 3 digits and still planted. Plenty of good advice from Dave. Highly recommended..

  19. Just a quick note on this post for clarity. We (the moderators) often get faced with a decision to hide/lock/edit a post. This is because our forum is pretty popular and some people view it as an easy way to get free "social media" advertising. It happens pretty regularly and if we didn't pounce on it, the forum would be full of people offering Viagra, easy ways to earn $10,000 a week and links to dodgy porn sites. So, we often spot a post and have to make a decision if it is something that is considered to be a "benefit to members" - after all, this forum is paid for by our members. Bearing that in mind, members have privileges and we are obliged to protect them. One of these is advertising items for sale, hence this post received our attention. After a backroom discussion, we thought this particular post was treated a little harshly and gave the wrong impression to a potential new member. It has therefore been "unlocked" and we hope everyone understands our reasoning behind the decisions.
