  2. Hi All Our Shelsley Walsh celebration is one week away on the 23rd June. It is open on the day to all comers! Free admission, Free Camping Friday and Saturday Night! Don't worry if you have not booked anything just come along and enjoy the OLDEST tarmac motorsport venue in the world. See Westfield's and other cars going up the hill in a family FUN DAY spirit! Enjoy the working Water Mill, have an ICE CREAM and just relax! So why not have a great day out in your Westfield or any other car, meet friends and other club members, chat and reminise? If you cannot resist the temptation to have a go up the hill your self we will be able to fit you in for some runs on the day! Crash Helmets can be hired on the day as required! Food available at lunchtime if required! The weather forecast looks favourable for the day! So nothing to stop you coming out in your "Pride and Joy" for a FUN DAY at the HILL! Look forward to seeing you all! Thanks Graham

  5. Great day out My longest ever run out at just over 220 miles. Big thanks to @Chris King - Webmaster and Joint North East AO for sorting out the route over the black mountain pass once we had met up at Builth Wells Just a shame that black mountain pass isn't about 50 miles long!! Apologies in advance if@Nic (NICO) - Shropshire and Mid-Wales AO relieving himself in the back ground of this pic upsets anyoneyou can't take him anywhere without him marking his territory!

  7. APPLECROSSKI 2018 please find the time table for Applecosski 2018, this year we are having a Russian night in the campsite due to the fact there are no tv sets on the site so we don't have to watch Engerland play in the world cup, so there is no reason for not destroying the odd bottle of vodka please note as we are going to the highlands you can arm yourself to the teeth so get the swords, crossbows and chibs polished up the clan are coming . Thursday night the horse and cart will be at the BP petrol station at the forth bridge at 8 oclock if you want to drop stuff off , I will put in tools ,jacks and tow ropes and a couple of wheels and a few cables just in case . then were heading to Mr and Mrs wee dov to pick up the Barbie , thanks again for this . Friday 22nd 10 oclock ,meeting in kilmahog at the woollen mill car park past Hamish the bull, we need to be away from there no later than 10.30 . Lorna and I will not be there we will not be leaving Livingston till eleven as we need to get the puppies in the kennel . We are booked in at twelve thirty in the Onich hotel for lunch so we hope to catch you there if not we will catch you eventualy. After that its up to Applecross via fort William for fuel . We need to be at the Applecross pass for about 5.30 due to the Pass closing for road works . Applecross stickers will be in the van . 7.30 Friday night the infamous Clan McWesty Bar Beeeeee Que when yarns of great battles and blats will be told . 8.30 Friday night bed time ?????? Saturday morning 9.00 at the walled garden for breakfast as we have a long run ahead on Skye via the Kyleakin ferry weather permitting I have route maps so we will all get lost . Applecross in is booked for 6.30 at night so when we return from our run go down the pub and order your dinner , again we need to be over the pass for 5.30 to avoid the long way round , After dinner we will go along to the junction for a few beers and the usual clan patter . Sunday Morning 9/9.30 down to the junction for Breakfast heading off home 10/10.30. a few rules lads remember its not a race you win nothing for getting there first we have a bad enough name there thanks to Matty for smashing trees and knocking of guys on bikes . also remember the road up is full of law enforcement agents with cameras and unmarked cars . please also remember there are other people on the campsite and they have no right to go to bed at eight o'clock so we don't want to upset the failed NCP parking attendant / camp security man .Not??? its there fault for picking that weekend to go camping and not owning a westfield . Safe trip guys and girls Bobski

  11. Well, heading back home tomorrow and have to say I’ve thouroghly enjoyed the fantastic Welsh roads and epic scenery. Painscastle is a cracking little place, really friendly and an excellent local pub - and within striking distance of some of the best roads I’ve driven on. what a week!

  16. @Jonk179 I've recently replaced my top ball joints courtesy of help by @Robin (Red Spider) - Yorkshire AO and the numbers he's given are correct. Track rods are for cortinas mentioned and the upper ball joints fit standard and wide track Westfield front suspension wishbones. I quoted the part number given for upper ball joints and my supplier mustn't have been able to obtain so supplied frontline FTR4701 these are also good for the job too. Can't help with lowers as never changed yet but will watch these posts for all options. Scott

  20. The first passenger in my car after the build was my mate Mick. At the time Mick had recently been diagnosed with MND (or ALS as the Mercans call it) - but I call it 'worst nightmare syndrome'. Anyway - I took Mick out for a run and at the end he looked up at me and said - "thanks Chris, it's been a while since I've had something to smile about - and that really did make me smile" I was well chuffed that he'd enjoyed the blat and he said "so, what do you call her?" I replied "I've not got a name - any suggestions?" - to which he pondered a bit and replied "Scarlet". So, Scarlet it is - in memory of my great mate Mick who sadly passed away just before Xmas last year.

  26. The lighthouse is at the end of a fabulous, twisty single track road that is around 25 miles long. Clean toilets and a cafe at the lighthouse with free parking. Just make sure you fill with petrol at the local garage by the start of the road. Sango bay is a beautiful beach at Durness.
