  1. Well as the clocks change this weekend and thoughts turn to winter upgrades - an offer to tempt those of you looking for seats. Buy any Tillett seat for a discount of 20%. Please see www.tillettcarseats.co.uk for the full range and prices. The B6 is the most common seat for Westfield fitment. It can be bottom fixed directly into the car or optionally fitted to runners. For this offer orders must be received before the end of November. Please mention WSCC offer when ordering. This is only valid through us as a WSCC sponsor and Tillett stockist and is not available from the Tillett factory. It is only available to WSCC members. Feel free to message or call me with any questions. 2. If you want to have a little bit of an insight into other things that i do/ am involved in (not that i was involved in this particular project) watch C4 this Sunday 26th at 8pm, where you'll see Guy with another cyclist and two good friends of mine (Mike Burrows and Miles Kingsbury), try and break a 24hr cycling record, I can't tell you if they do it or not

  6. Agreed, it's an odd one. It's designed to match their Professional Range instruments, including the Pro-Control range, (which it does in terms of bezel style etc). The odd thing, is that if you look at most of the modern style tachos, including the Professional range model, they all seem to be a closer match to the ST700 Dash display that I've got, and as far as I can see, other than the monster 125mm job, they're all typical 88mm OD, to fit an 80mm hole.

  8. Unlike you, I didn't do my homework when I bought mine 3 years ago. It is based on a 97 kit so didn't have the extra strengthening around the diff cage. Didn't spot the cracks in that area until a week after I purchased it, with a fresh MOT I might add ! Anyway I took it to the Westfield factory who advised not driving it any further, so I left it with them to do the necessary welding and strengthening. No problem since. Clearly it is more of an issue once you up the power outputs. Mine has a 4.6 with around 275bhp and 300lbft of torque. The original engine was a 3.5, so the chassis was probably fine with that one, but not with the 4.6. I have an LT77 gearbox which is not as strong as the R380 or T5. I think it is close to needing a rebuild and may be this Winter's project. I did see a Chevvy powered Westfield advertised a couple of years ago, which had 450bhp ! It was out of my budget but very tempting. Not sure how difficult it is too fit one of these engines, but the tuning potential is better with this engine. Not sure what your budget is? There are a few up for sale at the moment on Pistonheads.

  9. I find it strange that the top teams get 'heaps' of money - the newbies next to nothing. All teams should get the same IMO.
