April has arrived and the weather is getting better I expect some cars may even be off SORN.

The April meeting should be this weekend 5th April. As it's a holiday weekend and a lot of us are away I'm pushing the meeting back a week to the 12 April. 

Hopefully the weather will be nice and more of us will be available.

BREAKING NEWS Silverstone Events have allocated WSCC a Track Parade Lap Sunday Lunch Time to celebrate the club's 40th Anniversary.

Car Club Display Package Tickets are now available to purchase on the Silverstone web site. 

The WSCC Car Club Package code is now available in the members area.

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ BEFORE BUYING YOUR TICKET:

Please be aware that WSCC are obliged by Silverstone Events to check and confirm that all tickets purchased using the club's code have been purchased by club members.  Please do not share this code with non members or purchase tickets for them as any tickets not directly linked to a club member/members car will be cancelled by Silverstone.

It has a massive car park and a cafe making it a great place to meet like minded petrol heads, apparently Derek from Mathewsons will be there too.

Jacks Hill Cafe, A5 Watling Street, Towcester, NN12 8ET. Just between Silverstone and Northampton, if you go and you can, let us know how you got on, maybe add a photo or two.

This visit is scheduled to start at 1.30pm on Saturday 18th April, and should last approximately 2.5 hours.

We are limited to a maximum of 24 people and 12 cars.

This visit is being supported by the club for WSCC members by covering £5 of the normal £15 fee, leaving you £10 per person to pay. Due to the restrictions on numbers I will need bookings in advance, so please PM me your interest. Priority is to Warwickshire Area members first.

There is a very good cafe on the airfield so I am proposing to head there for around 11.30am for brunch before the 2 minute drive to the Vulcan for our visit later.

To wet your appetite and have something to look forward to in these gloomy winter days!!

Join us and enjoy 130 miles driving around the spectacular Lake District National Park and 135 miles through the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park. There are no timed meeting points during the days, so if you want to stop off for a walk or visit somewhere enroute - the choice is yours to enjoy the areas as you want to. 

You are at liberty to choose which day to explore the Lakes and which day you explore the Dales.  We will split into small groups to make keeping together easier and exploration less stressful - More time to enjoy the views rather than worrying about where the car behind has gone!

Last years tour was fully subscribed quickly so early booking is advised once again for this years event.

Driving days are Monday 15th and Tuesday 16th June 2026.  we'll head off from the hotel at 9am each day. If you're travelling from a far I would recommend that you book accommodation for Sunday, Monday & Tuesday to make the most of the wonderful roads and scenery. Route books will be supplied and  Sat Nav routes for single drivers will be available. 

Base will be Travelodge Kendal Town Centre as it has covered secure parking.

Adding breakfast to your booking isn't necessary as you can pay on the day. Many choose last year to have breakfast at Wetherspoons and there was plenty of choice for evening meals in town.

Once again the National Kit Car Show will be held at the Three Counties Showground. Will be going all out this year to make this one a show to remember to celebrate the Club's 40th Anniversary in style.  We would like to put on a very special display of Westfield Cars through the 40 years inside the marquee and are looking for cars of significance.  If you have a prelit, an XI, an XTR , a speed series competition car, one of the few all carbon FW cars , aWestfield or any other seven style car with a difference that you would like to exhibit, please drop a message below or drop me a pm @Martin Aldred - Shows & Events Coordinator  Thank you.

So that the committee can plan more effectively we would like to get an idea of the number of people planning to attend this years show. We'd like to try something special with those 40 cars.

I've just made our booking and requested a departure time from Brooklands of 0900-0930. This will be our 5th consecutive L2B so we obviously enjoy it! @SteveB21 and @Morris have also joined us on recent runs so if anyone wants any more info on the event I'm sure we'll all be happy to respond.
