Countach v Westfield - is my memory muddled? I think back in the 80’s maybe early 90’s there was an article of a Westfield being put up against a Countach - with Westy being in front up to 100mph is that right or am I gooin mad? if it’s right anyone flogging the article?

Fixed front and rear videorecorder cameras for permanent recording while driving ( mostly to have proof if sh...t hapens with not mine fault). With rear I am really pleased front.. well could not find better place as not wanted cable around window (to be possible mount half hood ) Not sure yet what to do with main unit/screen. Dont need it to be on dash permanently, as visibility in Westfield is no issue to need rear camera. Maybe just mount it under dash somewhere. Video quality is ok for now, no revelation, but for its purpose ok , reg plate leters easy to read from car going to crash from rear (rear picture with foil on lens ) Its an Chinese (Aliexpress) designed for motorcycle set, all approx 60 GBP with SD card. ) To mount rear I needed to take off boot. Not happy what I saw - all that dust. Was hoping mounting floor/diffuser to keep rear cleaner. Is it normal? Maybe some kind of side covers from wheels are needed to keep rear clean?

I can get lost in a supermarket. Anyway, have a great drive and keep an eye on Julie’s rear end when she’s parking!

Decided it was time to hide the fact my car is a 64 reg. Westfield can look brand new and have such low mileage it’s a shame they are aged by a plate. Some well placed screws are in order I think.

Westfield SE project - did anyone buy this and is rebuilding it? I spotted this for sale in August 2023 in Kinross on Gumtree. It is a late 1980s SE that was sprinted in Scotland with a 1400cc Vauxhall engine, twin sidedraft twin choke Webers and an Opel Manta gearbox and was road registered. When owned by Adam Young was 2nd in the Scottish Sprint Championship in 2002. I daftly dithered and did not get round to seeing it before it sold - doh! Hopefully it is being rebuilt for a return to spring tracks, hillclimbs and the road. Is so, please start a build diary or sell it to me as is! Cheers Mike

on the westfield chesil website some of the website is in french , just a few words mainly on menus . I reported it to westfield and the automated response was jut one word "mercI" Since posting I have discovered on the very bottom of the home page next to the copyright notice there is a language option but it only changes random words

I have asked the organisers and they said that its not public yet. They are busy organising the Isle of Man Manx classic for next weekend so perhaps when that is out of the way they will put something up. Also, Gavin who I believe would normally do this, has just lost his father and not doing any of his normal club duties at the moment which may impact it.
