DonPeffers
https://www.lonelyplanet.com/news/2018/02/23/first-airlines-japanese-virtual-reality/ One way for tourists to certainly avoid terrorists.
SootySport
Well, the food looks more appetising than the normal in flight meals. Will British tourists still moan when they go abroad? "It's not like home!" is the usual rant.
DonPeffers
Low carbon footprint anyway.
Man On The Clapham Omnibus
If they could invent getting there without the flying experience I'd be first in the queue! Went to my son's wedding in New South Wales last December - that's an experience to be avoided. The flight, not the wedding, obviously! Why anyone would want to simulate spending hours and hours on a 'plane without the consolation or arriving, I really cannot fathom.
DonPeffers
I know what you mean MOTCO about long haul flights and we could really do with some faster planes. The VR flight is on http://firstairlines.jp/ I think https://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/destinations/asia/japan/tokyo/articles/worlds-first-virtual-reality-airline-vr-technology/ explains it better regarding flight time compression and £40 first class 'flight'. 110 minute experience if I've read it correctly. The film 'Total Recall' beckons.
