Recommended Posts

Results for the Croft boating regatta have now been published, 75 points all round as it was a "Very Damp" day shall we say !!!.

Let's hope the next event is a bit dryer so we can see some decent times on the board.

Steve Broughton was in the Dallara in class J2

Terry, I've not been on the Rum unfortunately, I do however have in black and white that Steve is running in the "SBD Westfield Seiw" and entered in Class "H".
If I've not been given the correct info, how am I supposed to know which Canoe type he is running in :p:p:p (Check the entries form from John)

I love it when I'm right as it's not that often, :d:d:d ....... NOW I'm going to hit the Rum :d ..............

I will report back on whether he has entered for class J2 but I think he has !!!!:d

For the sake of argue a bit...

Why are being assigned points for a dismissed Event with no timed runs at all?

Shouldn't it be counted as event not happened, and that's it?

I wondered that too....

I presume because in the regs the minimum points for a starter is 75? And you are deemed a starter the moment you break a timing beam in timed practice runs?

Here are the words from the regs....

g) A starter shall be deemed to be a registered competitor who breaks the start-line timing beam following the start of Practice. The minimum points awards to a competitor who is deemed a starter is 75 points.

Most of us will drop the 75 points anyway

I was aware of that rule... but never though it was applied when the event is dissmissed.

However... just asking, nothing else.
