I think Aerial were prepared to pay whatever was asked as they could sell the cars at any price. Aerial are so basic, more so than a Westfield yet it has never had the "kit car" association to hold it back. It is the same with Caterham, most are unaware you can buy a kit and are again not associated by the "built in a shed" moniker.

Westfield's will never be seen as anything other than a second division version of a Caterham, sure they can perform just as well and many will beat Caterham's on track and on the road, but they do not carry the image that others do. It is a shame but when you send a test car that is not quite right to the mainstream press it is hard to shake of that image.
