Replacement tin-top suggestions

Morning all.

Currently have a 2007 Seat Toledo DSG with all the bits. It's the second one I've had and I've been very pleased with it. So if I were to replace it, what would I buy? Things that are good with the Toledo include:

DSG

Leather

5 big doors, upright stance

Boot space

47mpg

Quite quick (2.0 diesel)

Unsure of upper spend but don't want to be hammered by depreciation - this will be a long term 'investment' (!)

Looking forward to your response! Thanks.

Skodas are good , but are stuck in the VW payout scandal, so as we found watch out for servicing and parts costs, they are VW prices now. We have a Citigo and its been great.

Octavia vrs. On my second, this one is a petrol estate goes well with loads of space for kit; previous one was a diesel hatchback, also went well, with decent space. Both serviced by local independent warranty work honoured FOC by  Skoda (fuel rail recall on the diesel).

Now thinking about a vw touran with all the bits plus 4motion. Is this system any good? Bloke in the pub says it's brilliant but could do with your comments please.

Thanks again for your help

4motion is Haldex and VW do service them, which Volvo dont and are pretty reliable for that reason.

Think you mean the Tiquan Martin, the Touran is the mini bus thingy.  They don't change the Haldex filter anymore on the newer models, say it doesn't need it.   However it does need regular filter and oil changes as some of the Audi forumers have found out to their cost.

If I was Martin I would be going for the reliable Honda, Suzuki, Toyota, Mazda Ute's  and definitely not a DERV of any sort.
