Thanks for the welcome messages.

Except to go to the MOT, this Westfield has not been used since July 2007 and so some work will be required.

My plan is to make it look "older" by replacing all the black plastic bits. I also plan to change the wheels for either Minilite style or steels with hubcaps.

Any suggestions always welcome!

All the best,

I put 13''  KN minators (minilites) on my last narrow body car, they looked great and are well made. Perhaps you could find an old set of Ford RS (mk2 escort/capri) wheels. I have just done this on my 95 wide body and got them powder coated in silver. They look great too. Both options will give you that older look.

Hello and welcome from the Norfolk/Cambridgeshire border. Be nice to meet a few others from good old Norfolkshire!  Keep this up and we'll have enough for an area meet!

I also own a yellow widebody but mines only about halfway finished so no runouts yet. :-(

Hi Justin. I’ve been off the scene for a bit as I had a bulging disc in my back which put me out of action/work/Westie building. Looking to get going again within the next week or so, the updates will begin again!

Build is going ok thanks. As usual,  funding is a problem at this time of year due to the Christmas financial hangover! I’d be keen to meet up with you at some point in the near future and have a look at you car if possible.

Calling Rorys dad to the forum...

Thanks mate. It’s good to be back at work and mobile again. Bad backs are a pain in the proverbial t.b.h. There’s only so much Jeremy Kyle and project binky you can watch...
