Agree with Dave and Craig.

Our cars are valued on different criteria than most others but do hold their value really well.

You could easily pay £12k for a 15 year old Westy as long as it was in great condition and had the right parts.

So yours might be worth that it might not. We can’t honestly tell from a couple of random pictures :d

But if you are happy, then yes it is absolutely worth it!

First great drive and you’ll know you’ve got the bargain of the century! (Whatever you paid).

Welcome along:t-up:

Agree with Craig.

But,the only risk with buying at a top end dealer price is if you don't like the Westfield experience /ownership you will lose money on re-sale for sure.

Echo what Craig said, as long as your happy and enjoy your car that's what matters. The pictures show a nice looking car in a nice colour as well.

Wecome to the club, keep an eye out for any runs coming up, we often get into North Yorkshire, if not this year then next.

Our meetings are at the Fox and Grapes on York Road on the first Tuesday of the month, next one on 7th November and the 3rd Sunday, 19th, at the Red Kite on Denby Dale road for breakfast.

Hi again, I haven't actually bought it yet, going tomorrow to do the deal, that's why I thought I would ask you experienced Westfield owners if I am being seen. I know nothing about mechanics, but love the car, guess I just want assurance that 12k is ok for a 14 plate 1.8 with throttle bodies and chrome extras etc. It's a lot of money if it is overpriced. I am not interested in racing or tracks, just want a nice car for weekends away with my wife etc....

Cheers

I am near Skipton, when I went on the test drive I loved it and felt free somehow. My wife is concerned about safety issues, but I think you only live once! Got a few looks on the test drive too, felt like I was driving a ufo or something, people pointing etc!

Thanks again for the comments

You'll get used to it.

:ww:

All the kids will wave to you and take photos with their phones,  Normal.

Is the Mrs. expecting it to have some Eurocap safety stars?          Probably    minus 5  :)

You just buy it and enjoy it mate, looks a good price considering it's age and low mileage

Thanks SXRORY!

That's amazing, yes that is the car, thanks, I am a bit happier now as it appears to have been properly built looking at the description. Is it a negative that the kit was bought in 2006? Does that affect it's value? Does it mean the parts from back then aren't as good as in 2014?

The dealer also said it was the sei wide version, I am a complete newbie to these cars so have no idea what the difference is? Just doesn't say it's the wide body in the ad you found.

Sorry for all the questions, just want to have peace of mind before I hand over 12k of hard earned cash!

Thanks everybody for the help.
