betarev3
As per title, looking to do some touring next year, I have a window screen and wipers etc just after a set of doors? Tom 07580 260
Geoffrey Carter (Buttercup)
Have you thought about half doors. I enjoy touring with them better than with full doors as I tend to see a lot more. I used to find that the top the door was always in my eyesight.

betarev3
Hi Geoff, was thinking of half doors but concerned about the buffeting off the screen?
Geoffrey Carter (Buttercup)
@betarev3 I also have the clear wind deflectors and the deflectors and the half doors work so well together and it’s quite civilised in the cockpit. Is there anyone local to you who has halfdoors and would let you go in their car. I really don’t think you would be disappointed.

Plasic had rubbed againts the roll bar and marked them so just cut out the plastic window to make half doors and used 4mm polycarbonate drilled and bolted to the door. Kept the metal frame bit where it hooks onto the windscreen and in the top of the door, rest of metal frame was cut out. My first attempt of the poly window was about 6 inches shorter than in the pic, to much wind hitting my ear so just made another set longer. Shorter ones here

Yanto
I've thought about doing similar but taking the polycarbonate much further back, near the roll bar. I now have a set of spare doors that I can play with.
Terryathome
Did think of full poly windows but wanted to keep that open feeling if you get what I mean. I can look right Without a window being there. Without bending the poly with full windows I think they would tend to be quite close to my head as they tend to point inwards like normal doors. Might sound daft but there you go. Let's us know how you get on, post pics for us.
