My drinking partner had to go home to cook tea for his wife (a little late).. I was fancying a Guinness next! But had 20 miles to cycle home . After that tally I wouldn't be able to find my fingers let alone cycle anywhere, much respect is due...
Man On The Clapham Omnibus
That Elysium is described as a session beer - at 4.7% In my world a session beer is for quaffing and must be less than or no more than 4% or death will surely follow... I have enjoyed Amstel Bier in Amsterdam but I suspect the experience is flavoured more by the city than the beer! Two pints of it in the Golden Galleon on a hot summer afternoon halfway along a return walk from Birling Gap, via the Seven Sisters, to Cuckmere Haven and the pub, and back found me snoozing on the clifftop on the way

I've enjoyed a checky Amstel on the Dutch naval frigate of the same name. HNLMS Van Amstel... The crew was very lay back compared to going on any of the Royal Navy surface vessels. My university year out was at Devonport Royal Dockyard organising unscheduled repairs.
John K
Ok, the pic is mostly meat, but if you look behind it, there is a pint (2nd) of Atlantic
