Does anyone fancy a ride up the coast and then across onto the moors over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Would love to. I found some great roads up there last time I was that way in the tin top. Unfortunately I'm away the bank holiday weekend. Enjoy.

Would love to try and join you mate, we still have to get to the moors. Which day or days? We still have so much to try and fit in.

I bet you know all the best places. Will keep in touch about it.

Hi Ali.

At present I can do any of the days.

Let me know what you have available.

Are you looking at staying over say Saturday night.

Could go out on Saturday and Sunday perhaps.

Days are flexible, can do both happily, the more scenery and sights the better.

We would stay over somewhere Friday and Saturday to do both days.

We are in as long as it's not going to be lashing down all the time.

We will get back to you when we know how the weathers going to be.

@Ali and Gail I can recommend a very kit car friendly b and b at Robin Hoods Bay. It has private parking, sea views from your room and takes last minute bookings. £80/night it is called Thackwood, just ring Tracy on 01947 880858.

Hi @Ali and Gail

All the routes are in my head and I can easily fill two days of driving if you want to see the area.

We can visit coastal towns and villages, go over the moors via single track roads, go into the Yorkshire Dales, there is so much we can go see.

I intended to play within the area inside the line in the picture below.

It would be great if you found somewhere near Scarborough / Filey to stay as that is on my doorstep and would be so easy to meet on a morning / night time.

I would like to make full days of it though....similar to Scotland.

Sounds good.

 shame I'm heading South in BH traffic for weekend.

What a play ground @Geoffrey (Buttercup) - North Yorkshire AO.

Looks fine by us and as for full days, well that's what we do isn't it.

2 days is what we are aiming for.

Will keep a check on the weather and get back to you ASAP mate. Showers are acceptable, biblical rain all day is another thing.

Right, the weekend is on.

two full days from morning until night this Saturday and Sunday.

Start and finish points will be Scarborough, but can meet people on the way.

Saturday I will head up into the Dales and Sunday it will be the Yorkshire Moors.

The days will not be fine at a million miles an hour but are about the scenery and relaxation.

Plenty of tea stops along the way if required.

Would anyone care to join us.
