How to replace @marto303 ?

Being up north for the last 2 years, I think its time I found another trusted garage, the trip 100+ miles each way to see @Marto303 doesn't really make sense!

So for the things I can't / can't be bothered to do I've been investigating my local options. I've already got a great fabricator and welder, an engine machine shop (which hopefully I wont need again!) and a RR tuner. So for the other bits, e.g wheel bearings etc

A)  ~4 miles away, does the MOT on the OHs car. Mostly young lads, one older gent, seem inexperienced but the old gent  said they could definitely work on a Westfield. Cheap.

B)  ~2 mile away. Usually has a classic 911 or E Type parked up outside. Have been in twice, once he was a kn*b, the second time very helpful. Older gentleman. Has a GTM Libra in the workshop that's never moved. Turns out there is RR out the back and he specialises on very expensive classics, was showing me some pictures of cars he's had on the rollers. I imagine he'll be very busy and expensive.

C) ~10 miles away. Ex Pinto engined westfield owner. Sold it because it would never run right (!). Says I'll have to supply the parts but happy to work on it. Middle ground price wise.

Which would you / should I go for?

So exactly where are you and what engine etc have you got?

What exactly do you need other than MOT?

@Marto303 is irreplaceable!!

But based on the options you've suggested, I'd try out option 1 on a simple job and see how it goes - time taken, quality of repair and cost etc. Then work up from there.

Or buy a trailer with the money you'll waste on inferior workmanship and just take it to Martin!
