Simon Marks - North Oxfordshire AO
Hi, When I used to rally a BMW 2002Tii (very nearly 30 years ago), I used to go to a really good guy in Cheltenham for advice / bits. Dave Brunsdon had a very highly developed 2002Tii racing car and he modified the diff unit by fitting a cast iron rear cover plate to which he had welded fins just like a motorcycle cylinder head. It solved the overheating issues that had come with the ever increasing power and larger, stickier tyres. Much easier than fitting a cooler and pump as was becoming the norm with M3s at the time!
