    Good luck Rita

Wishing Rita good luck on Tuesday for your operation. The aftercare will no doubt be 1st class and spotlessly clean. We hope that you will soon be allowed out to play. Little Beast.
  2. This is probably posted in the wrong place however here goes. Just over a couple of weeks ago the header tank failed on my SE. I put up on the forum that i was after a new or second hand one. Although I got some replies I sent of for a new one on Ebay. When I got the conformation of purchase it said delivery would be Monday 7th (yes I know a bank holiday). I was fortunate to be on holiday that week but needed the car for Saturday 13th. I then had whilst in Lanzarote an email saying that the new header was going to be despatched from Germany on Tuesday 8th. What to do????? Well I got a message from Julie Hall ( AO Peak District ) saying she was at Stoneleigh, had seen a header on the jumble stall, not only that she had put it in the back of her car. Did I want it? A pal of mine picked it up from her and by the time I got back last Thursday the header had been fitted and the car was ready for the charity run on the Saturday. Many thanks WSCC but in particular Julie Hall for going "above and beyond the call of duty". BTW the header turned up but wasn't quite the correct fitting. BIOMAN
  3. 11am at M&S Ashbourne (DE6 1DG) for coffee and WC then off to Tatenhill Airfield (DE13 9PD) - a ride of about 30 minutes - to take a look at a self build 4 seater plane. Have a chat with the Rolls Royce engineer who built it and then for the lucky few, a short flight. Flights are limited so not everyone will get a go. Maybe afterwards, Julie could take us out for a run in the Peak District before we head home - and obviously she will find a place for cake! This trip has to be limited in numbers to a total of 5 cars, so only two spaces left after Julie & Glen, Martyn & Sue and obviously me but if fully booked please leave details as a reserve. It would be a shame not to fill all the places as this is a once only offer from the owner. Please keep an eye on this link as plans might have to change and it is all very weather dependant. Fair weather flying only so this is not guaranteed and is at the total discretion of the pilot. Typical that I buy a kit car and my brother has to do something bigger so buys a kit aeroplane!!
