  1. Might get some work done on the Westfield now! Just installed a 4t 2 post lift in the workshop as I needed something to keep the Camaro safe from the lads during the day! I really should do a bit with the Westfield now I've no excuse!

  3. Before you order the caterham one give powertorque a try. They supplied my ecoboost one (titan made no branding) and it was half the price of various other suppliers.

  4. A big shout out to Santa Mike @Kit Car Electronics A box of goodies has just arrived! I’d be impressed at the turnaround time from first talking about this with Mike, if it was standard. BUT, this is a custom firmware version written specially at my request to give wiper and washer controls on the spare channels. I can’t believe how quickly Mike got this turned round and shipped out. Amazing! A big, big thanks to Mike for sorting this out for me. Due to committee stuff etc, I won’t get a chance to start fitting this weekend, but hopefully soon...

  5. @lloydox has done his and also changed the fog light to be an additional reversing lamp. I 'think' he's put his fogs in the centre of one pair of rear lamps. Best done after IVA though as lack of relfectors in the correct place will be a fail and can be a challenge at MOT time. Post IVA- I've just set my reverse and fog slightly further back in to be flush with the body work and changed the fog to a clear lens with a red LED lamp. I'm sure with the right lamp holder the number plate light could be set into the body to be tidier too. I've just not found the right one yet..........

  8. Strongly recommend one of the modified sumps kits. Check the clutch as well, my sigma with a type 9 has a hydraulic clutch with an extended bleed pipe. All the best with the swap. Gary

  13. Probably the main reason you need to get the wipers working better, to remove drippy Mr Pink Noses coolant , when he's in front

  14. I think Stephen, this is the point about it all. The 'majority' find it harmless and even clever. The 'minority' are always up in arms about these kinds of things.

  17. Don't mind a bit of cold weather (putting 3 layers on) At least I won't feel like a sponge this time . Did you get hitched the other day?

  18. Yes almost! Removed the wheels and gave the discs a rub down with some fine grit emery cloth. Put back together and Hey presto the judder had become hardly noticeable. Think I will remove the discs over the winter and give them a proper rub which hopefully will completely rid the issue. The advice on here is invaluable!

  23. My job is partly spanner monkey and partly office based/customer facing. One of my colleagues has a rather colourful vocabulary and a very straight forward viewpoint on things and doesn't really understand "politically correct". He uses the c-bomb as a term of endearment. Anyway after a company merger few years ago he was reported by an office worker as she heard him drop the C-bomb and ended up with a bollocking. However since that day she has apologised and now everyone in the office greets him with the c-bomb and laugh off his rather antiquated straight forward viewpoints. Hes now become a bit of a cult figure. He's not even slightly malicious just been born in the wrong era. The problem is nowadays you can't even fart without someone being offended. People need to re-develop a thick skin and stop being so damn soft.

  25. Oh I agree wholeheartedly that calling someone something offensive or derogatory is not on. But the whole PC thing of re-labelling is mad. I mean chairwoman to chairperson or actress to actor type of thing and having to worry about the gender ‘name’ of a person who may or may not ‘look’ like the gender the wish to be assigned.

  26. The rights and wrongs of labelling people is always such fun to discuss... One I’ve had: Someone called me a Yank, which was acceptable in my eyes because of the way it was said, in a friendly, joshing fashion. When it’s said with venom, it’s not acceptable at all. When a bit of Cockney rhyming slang is employed, I’ve been referred to as a septic (septic tank = Yank). It might surprise you that I don’t much like being compared to a tank full of effluence. Another person once asked if I liked being called a Yank. I asked him if he liked being called a Limey (a term I’ve NEVER used). He said no, so I asked him why if he didn’t like being called a Limey, why would I like being called a Yank? Bit of a minefield, eh?
