  2. Well. I think we have now to step back and see how they handle it without anymore pressure. No need to send representation or to deliver any document. Main issue here has been that has been done after most people had the entry paid and weekend comited. They are aware of our concerns, and they had access to the Facebook group where that has been discussed deeply (over 200 messages in 24h). Also most of us have been sending our concerns by e-mail. Now they are kind to have an open forum to listen to us at a comptetitor level and im sure they will take note of all the concerns. However, for the future, if they have the support of the MSA and they state their practice system in the regulations since the beginning, we can't say anything as a club. We are guests to their events, and we are not forced to participate... so... a club trying to interfere how another club has to run is unfair and selfish. We should stay aside as a club and we all should made our point as competitors. Not sure im being able to write what i mean in an understandable way... so please, make an effort.

  3. My old work used to send red and white traditional Christmas cards. Then it went all p.c. and had to globalise them. It ended up with a greenybrown card saying happy holidays............so as not to offend anyone? I am not offended to receive cards from other religions holidays, I can just read them if relevant ? Let's keep the Christmas curry a true club celebration, any member welcome ?

  4. Pleased to say the car is staying in the North East. Went to view it today at the request of the buyer (who is a mate of one of our 'blat pack') and have to say it's a cracking car. @Geordie-D nice to meet you and hope you didn't mind me poking around!

  11. I could take offence at that! Our's is not likely to be a PC event, come along and you'll experience that out! It's just that the seasonal occasion and all it's commercial #### and associated pressures does me'ed in! Supermarkets have had goods in stock for a while already goodness me! (Edit: I did intend F. F. S. to display! ) So I refuse to utter the 'word' until December.

  22. The solution would be to offer it as an option. All those in roadgoing cars who would like to do a 10 minute open pit lane session first thing instead of practice can do that, those who want to do the two practice runs they signed up for can continue as normal. If the take up is good it will save time, if not it's only 10 minutes wasted and not an hour.
