  1. Cracking run yesterday we covered just over three hundred miles, we did the coast road down to the Gleneig ferry over to Skye then over to Applecross, the coast road out of Applecross back to the hotel. Fantastic days driving.

  6. Not sure, Geoffrey, it came out near the Altahanarra Hotel. Noticed the oil pressure dropping, switched it off as it hit zero and coasted into a layby. Luckily no engine damsge. Local garage fixed it in a day.

  8. This months winners of the WSCC Falcon Pub car park competition are Gail Jones for only being £10 out on guessing the cost of Scott's recent upgrades done at Stoneleigh Kit car show with a very close second place taken by Rebecca Gilbert. The ladies really showed the men folk up!

  17. Greetings..!!! This thread might be interesting reading on the CVH / Lowline bonnet thing - and don't read anything into the fact that Grizlee is about as good as it gets in 3D CAD modelling to fractions of a mm precision. But can't get a bonnet to fit without resorting to an angle grinder and hammer... Going forward there is no such thing as a stupid question - only the stupid answers you get back. Sorting through the box of paper you get with any multi owner 'historical' Westie is all part of the joy - discovering what you have actually bought and not what you thought you bought is a 'journey' And massive +1 to the comments about not chasing the BHP - sure if you want to, then go for it, but for me the enjoyment is wringing 110% out of less power rather than driving at 80% because what you've got scares you... Take the time to enjoy the next few months of ownership - there will plenty of time for the "what have I done" moments of regret later..!

  23. Have we got the big gazebo/party tent sorted again for this year? Even though it didn't rain last year it was great for keeping away from the midgies I imagine those wee ba**ards will be a nightmare this year with all rain & warm weather.

  24. Indeed. Happy to help but you'll need to renew I'm afraid. That way your message will be seen in the right area where folks can help.

  25. Hi all, hope this late-ish notification is ok but I'll be another from the Aberdeen area joining in, although I plan to meet up at 10:00 on the Friday at Kilmahog and participate for the whole weekend inc barbie and Sat meal etc. Canvas accommodation (ie tent). Really looking forward to it all. Cheers, Les
